  1. The next Hobbycraft Show is at the NEC Birmingham 29th March - 1st April
  2. parchmentcraftmagazine.com This is a wonderful site to explore. If you click on PARCHMENT (gallery) you'll find lots of examples also if you go into parchment craft forums you'll find most people have a picture trail link. These include lots of parchment photos. Anne
  3. http://www.rowandean.com This is the link for Rowandean embroideries. If you click on catalogue 2007 all the kits are listed in size categories. I would suggest starting with a small one and they aren't difficult but very effective. The instructions in each pack are very clear and there are plenty of threads if you make a mistake. Anne
  4. A brilliant craft shop to visit is B-Craft-E on Sandstone Road. It's at the back side of Meadowhall. Sandstone Road is off the the left half way up Jenkin Road. I discovered this shop last November and has a wide range of everything and also runs regular craft classes. Not a shop to visit if you're in a hurry as there's so much to see.
  5. I'm wanting parchment craft classes. Does anyone know of any?
  6. I love all sorts of crafts but over the last few months have taken up parchment craft. It's lovely and very addictive.
  7. A nice form of embroidery to try are the Rowandean embroideries. The finished pictures look very complicated but in fact are relatively easy to do. They produce both small and large kits and are well worth trying (also addictive when you've done one!) Anne
  8. I've never seen this before, it's lovely Anne
  9. If you type Craft Site Directory into google, this site has decoupage. Also try Circle of Crafters.
  10. Yes it is. I know it sounds strange as when you go in you think you're in the wrong place, being surrounded by Scout & Guide stuff. When you go in the shop look to the wall at the left and you will see a small amount of craft bits and pieces but just ask and you'll be directed to the downstairs craft department. It will shortly be better signed and better publicised. At the moment there are some good bargains to be had.
  11. If you go to the Parchment Craft (Pergamano) section in Sheffield Hobbycraft, they sell bookmark pouches. These are not laminating pouches but I think they are better and slightly thicker. Ideal for slipping in your own paper, card or fabric design. They're about £3 for 6 (I think). Hope this helps
  12. I'm looking for a good Parchment Craft class in Rotherham, Sheffield or Barnsley. Can anyone help? I know there is a lady on the forum (user name Parcher) but as I've only just joined I am not able to pm anyone. thanks Anne
  13. A new craft shop which is in it's infancy is at the Scout Supplies Shop on Trippet Lane. I know it sounds strange but it's going to be really good. It is open now although there is only a small area on the ground floor of the shop but the main area is downstairs. The staff are brilliant and if you ask they will direct you as, at the moment, it isn't signed. It does need lots of support to get 'off the ground' successfully. Vicky is the lady who is running it and will always be pleased to meet you. Anne
