  1. Good - this goes far beyond using reasonable force to protect his family. You cannot allow people to take the law into their own hands.
  2. Not very funny considering that things like this have recently been happening http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-ginger-attacks1-2009dec01,0,7737967.story
  3. You obviously didn't read any of the original post before making this idiotic comment did you? (The link to mail story demonstrates the levels that racist rag stoops to) More details on the disgusting Daily Hate Mail story can be found here http://www.fivechinesecrackers.com/2009/11/disgraceful-fact-free-scaremongering.html
  4. I have no reason to doubt the guilty verdict, but smiling outside court doesn't signify anything! It is totally irrelevant.
  5. I also like http://enemiesofreason.blogspot.com/ and http://www.fivechinesecrackers.com/ 5cc has recently tore apart another piece of racist nonsense by the Mail - it really is shocking the levels the Mail will stoop to to stir up fear and hatred.
  6. Note to OP - The Observer is a Sunday only paper (pretty much the 'Guardian on Sunday') - strange that you only listed that and not any of the other Sundays.
  7. I didn't think anyone was stupid enough to actually read that rag! Here's a good link for anyone gullible enough to believe anything they read in the tabloids. http://tabloid-watch.blogspot.com/
  8. What are you talking about - you can't get '9 years' if you are convicted of murder. http://www.hmprisonservice.gov.uk/adviceandsupport/prison_life/lifesentencedprisoners/ Imprisonment for Life - this is the only sentence that can be imposed on anyone over the age of 21 who is convicted of murder.
  9. Yes because having an independently minded columnist who you might not always agree with is a good reason to ignore the best newspaper in the country. Guess what - the other papers have even more cretinous columnists, like Littlejohn, Jon Gaunt and Jan Moir. Fortunately the Guardian keeps the editorial separate from the news unlike Mail and Express.
  10. I'm sorry, I thought you just said you read the Daily Mail? HAHAHAAAA!!!
  11. The Mail and Express are despicable hate filled rags for morons. The kind of people that believe stories about Christmas Being Banned, or stupid and dangerous health scares like this one The Sun, Star and Mirror are comics, good for a laugh, but nothing else. The Times is controlled by Murdoch and has no right to be considered a serious paper. This leaves us with the Guardian for the 'liberal' viewpoint, the Tory Telegraph, which led the way with the expenses scandal, and the Independent, which is a decent enough read, but usually feels like a lightweight Guardian without the quality of writing. I personally read my news online - the Guardian, Indie, Telegraph, BBC News, New Statesman, New York Times and LA Times are good places to start, but I also enjoy the blogs like Guido Fawkes, 5cc, Liberal Conspiracy etc. If I had to choose one, it would be the Guardian every time - it's coverage of politics is excellent, it usually avoids celebrity tittle tattle, has a wide range of view points (particularly in the Comment is Free section), and isn't afraid to go after anyone, from Cameron, to Brown and at the moment, Blair. Its amusing to see the ignorant idiots who criticise the Guardian without taking a moment to read it.
  12. Loads of reasons To keep in touch with family and friends. To share photos and videos. To reconnect with people you've lost touch with. Connect with people with similar interest. Arrange events with people. Update a society or club you are a member of. If you are a moron - use it to play games.....
  13. Do NOT send anything - Let me guess - you were selling a mobile phone or something similar, and a newly registered buyer won it, and now wants you to send the phone directly to his family member in Nigeria? Don't reply, re list, but BEFORE you do, go to MY EBAY > ACCOUNT > SITE PREFERENCES > BUYER REQUIREMENTS and block ALL of the following bidders Don't have a PayPal account Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 1 Month(s). Are registered in countries to which I don't post Have a feedback score of -1 or lower Have a feedback score of 5 or lower and no credit card on file If you don't, then this will just happen again.
  14. The Times shouldn't be considered a serious newspaper any more than the Sun or News of The World, or any other Murduch controlled rag. Check out this typical display of jounralistic incompetence http://order-order.com/2009/11/28/gordon-not-the-only-one-outwitted-in-brussels/
