  1. Waverley IS NOT on a flood plain Also it's a minutes walk from the Sheffield to Lincoln line, which is just the other side of Highfield Spring. At it's nearest point there's a brand new footbridge that goes to absolutely no where except a field and on either side of there's patches of land that has been cleared (oblong shaped). So it would look like, even if one isn't immediately in the offing, some work has already been done. As the estate and the AMP grows they're going to need it :
  2. Conjecture or not, people don't even go to prison for 10 years for rape and even murder.
  3. He's a kid in his bedroom, surely there needs to be some proportionality here. And do you honestly believe he knew the exact nuances of international Copyright Law and that he could be extradited to face 10 years? Because I don't and I bet he didn't!
  4. How come he hasn't been arrested in this country? At the end of the day he broke no laws in the USA and is not subject to the laws there, so why is he being sent there to face trial?
  5. It's an utter disgrace. If this was any other country than the U.S we'd be telling them to get stuffed. However, we have to bow down to the yanks despite the fact half of their legal system and rule makers seem to be worse than that of most 3rd World countries. Free Richard O'Dwyer!
  6. Seems to work well down the M42, since the new cameras and signs were put in place traffic actually moves down there. It's sad that people keep applying the dumb logic that fast gets you there quicker, it only does if the road has the capacity to cope with the volume of traffic at that speed. Otherwise you get gridlock; slow things down a bit when it's busier and things move better.
  7. What time does it start, can't seem to see any times anywhere
  8. I think we stayed stuck in the start of the 1980s. Other city's embraced how the world and changed and until recently Sheffield didn't, it still kept it's chip on it's shoulder. It's now playing catchup. Although I have to admit that I feel the way the mining and steel industries were dealt with by the governments at the time was appalling! It's a crying shame, the city has so much to offer. It's the greenest in the country in terms of parks, has a 3rd of a national park within it's district boundaries and gorgeous suburbs, plus lots more. It's a tragedy that the image the city has tends to be the exact opposite. With two big successful universities, quite a skilled workforce and in terms of environment and the out doors it's second to none. Companies should be flocking to the city and the area, to say they're not suggests there's something badly wrong somewhere
  9. Or legislate so the cats are moved and then everyone is happy
  10. It's vile and disgusting, destroys the our back gardens. No one should have to clean up someone elses mess. If I personally crapped all over your property I'd expect you to be livid. If someone damaged another persons property and caused incovienience it would be expected that person paid some sort of compensation. The same should apply when a persons cat does the same as they are their responsibility.
  11. It's not trivial when your Toddler steps in it, neither is it trivial when you put hours of effort in to a garden to find your efforts particially destroyed by what is someone else's responsibility. Tell me, if I came round your property, and covered it in human excrement how would you feel? and what's the difference?
  12. It frustrates me greatly that people should have to purchase anything to prevent other peoples cats (which is their owners responsibility) from fouling up our property. The law needs changing on cats to make owners more responsible (like with dogs). There's nothing positive cats bring to a neighbourhood apart from the occasional happiness of their owners but this is outweighed by the misery of everyone else plus the harm they bring to local wildlife and accompanying ecosystems!
  13. The Lib Dems were quite open that they were happy to be part of Coalition governments with any party and saw the future of politcs as one where parties made compromises with each other to realise both the best outcomes for the country and for what the electorate wanted. In fact they'd got a track record of ruling in coalitions at local level, Leeds is a good example. So why on earth do people call them lying and duplicitous? In my humblest opinion; the electorate of this country is stupid and naive to such an extent that genuinely harms democracy .
  14. The problem with this lot is if they did get us out of the EU, they'd only find something else that offended their own little worlds and took them out of their proud tiny little British comfortzones. Straight away there'd be a new party with the same faces, whinging about something or another that the Daily Mail\Express thought was terrible.
  15. Why on earth would a party who's main objective be to withdraw the UK from the EU stand for local election?
