  1. Just a quick reminder about Classics on the Moor (Sheffield centre). Sunday 01/08/2010. 11am till 4pm. More details on event sheffield (search motor show). I couldn't see this on the forum anywhere so sorry if I'm being a bit dim!
  2. Just a quick post to say thankyou to everyone who supported the funday on Saturday. It was a fabulous free day out for loads of people and the classic cars received some very favorable comments. A special thanks to the Sheffield Mini Club for turning up in convoy - the cars looked great! Hopefully we will have some pictures to post very soon, various photos are already on face book (link via beightongala.com) including some of the cars that attended. If you missed it we're going to do it all again on the second Saturday in July 2011. Hope to see you then. Many Thanks Again, Paul.
  3. Renishaw did go ahead despite the wet conditions! It was great to catch up with old friends,as well as making some new contacts. Don't forget Beighton Gala 10th July 2010, still room for more classics and interesting vehicles. Ive posted some details on the forum or have a look at http://www.beightongala.com Thanks Paul.
  4. "Classic cars, bikes (& W.H.Y.) wanted for Beighton Funday" Hi Everyone, We are holding our funday at the usual venue this year (Beighton Miners Welfare), and are hoping to have more classics than ever. If you are interested in bringing a car or bike ( or commercial etc) for a free day out, please contact: Paul 07961 580786. So far we've had a good response but still have room for more. We normally recruit loads of support from Renishaw Hall event but didn't get as many this year due to the unfortunate weather! We also usually get a good response from the festival of transport, but not this year This is a FREE event for everyone so even if you haven't got a classic, come along and enjoy the afternoon. All exhibits need to be parked on the field for 11-30am and stay until approx 5pm due a ban of vehicle movement whilst the event is running. There is loads of stuff happening on the day so it passes really quickly. Thanks to all who've supported us and the many charities in the past, hope to see you again on 10th July2010. http://www.beightongala.com Paul.
  5. Despite the rotten weather today, the gala is still going ahead (unless things get really bad overnight). The Parade around the village will leave Tynker Avenue at 11-45am and arrive at the miners welfare fields at approx 1pm for the gala opening. Fingers crossed for lots of sunshine!
  6. Thanks to everyone who's called to say they are joining us tomorrow. Lots of people are wanting to avoid the speed bumps where possible. Try the following route. From SHEFFIELD. Follow the A57 Worksop, past Beighton on the flyover, towards Swallownest/Rotherham. Look for the Pylons above and the welcome to Rotherham sign. At the roundabout double back on your self then take the left hand slip road signed BEIGHTON VILLAGE ONLY. Follow the road over the level crossing, and round the lefthand bend. Look for the George and Dragon pub on the right. The Gala site is opposite. The entrance is just before the post office on the left. From the M1 (J31) or Rotherham end follow the A57 Sheffield and pick up the above directions from the BEIGHTON VILLAGE ONLY SIGN. This route should only involve four speed bumps. :)See you tomorrow:), Paul.
  7. Thanks convert. I went up there after 7pm, when the rain had stopped. It wasn't a massive turnout, but there were some quality cars there.
  8. I heard there's a show tomorrow night (Mon 13th July) at the Bridge pub in Ford. Does anyone know if it's on, start time etc.
  9. Hi Poshdoll, I have PM'd you as i am very interested. Please reply. Thanks. Paul.

  13. I think I've seen photos/pics of one. Is it the cortina mk4 or 5 front. Same as the P100 pick up before they used the sierra front? If it is P100 based it should be pretty tough to wear it out! What reg / year is it? Any chance of posting some photos?
  14. So, I'm confused:huh: Has anybody had any luck getting their problems sorted? Do we talk to our providers about this, or BT? Would our providers even know that woodhouse exchange exists? My providers don't seem to know their bottom from their elbow! Just for info I've tried 3 PCs and 2 different modems, all have the same problem.
  15. I have been having the same problems. I live in Beighton and we're connected through the Woodhouse exchange. I don't know the exact date but the problem has been going on since before Christmas. My Broadband is with Homecall (who are part of Pipex, who are now owned by Tiscalli). I spoke to Homecall technical but they never mentioned work on the Woodhouse exchange. Does anyone know if this is a BT problem (I assume it's still BT's exchange)?
