What do you think to the hype of Avatar?
jojomarmite replied to kasim's topic in Sheffield Film Group
in my oppinion it is soo much better than titanic. the story is great and modern too, basically about the sky people wanting to take over another planet because they destroyed theirs. its worth a watch at the cinema in 3D. i give it a 10/10 for sure -

don't have anything else lined up really sad, was soo looking forward to it. and had a really rubbish couple of days, including a freezing cold bath, skin on my hot chocolate, head ache, i dropped my clementine on the floor, got stuck in the snow and had to abandon my car, now got horrific period pains. i am just sulking and whinging but not happy at the moment!!! :(

i can definitely get a refund and compensation for the transport i paid to get their and back, but it won't let me online, and i can't get through on the phones. i just wanted to know how other ppl were getting on, and if there is a number or e-mail add or somewhere on the web page i can use to get a refund.

Is anyone else trying to get a refund from eurostar because of the cancellations? I was meant to be taking by boyfriend to paris today for his christmas present. I am trying to get a refund through the website but it won't let me. I have tried calling them, but they aren't taking calls i don't think, and phone lines will be chocker anyway. What a nightmare. Just wondered how people are getting refunds, as i can't seem to get in touch with anyone from eurostar, even via e-mail.

Is anybody on here a teacher?
jojomarmite replied to jester6881's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
Hey well i am a secondary school music pgce student. I started in september and i am on my first placement at a secondary school for 4 days a week. I have 10 hours a week up until christmas and then i am at a different school in january for 5 days a week. All i can say is it is HARD and TOUGH and SCARY and STRESSFUL and fun of course! Not only do i have lessons to plan for, but i have lesson plan forms to fill in for every lesson, 2 evaulation forms a week, i have to fill in forms for 1 observation a week, i have assignments for uni continously, ranging from 4,000 to 8,000 words throughout the year. i have a 6,000 word portfolio, i have subject tasks to do throughout the year, i also have my overall portfolio for the whole year to sort out, i have to collect evidence for various things, i have to pass maths, english and ICT QTS tests, i have to involve QTS standards as evidence in my lessons and more. So, basically, if you love your subject, and enjoy working with children and seeing them light up when they get something right, and want to make a difference, but don't mind stress, tears, hard work, sleepless nights, days where you just wanna hide, then i would reccomend doing a pgce. -
