Looking ice hockey non profesional team for man
Lofster replied to mirasek's topic in Sheffield Sport & Activities
I currently train on a Monday at Ice Sheffield at 10.30pm. We are a recreational team and have a mix of abilities. That said, we have a good fast-paced session and you would be more than welcome to come and join us. Send me a message and I can send your some more details. -
I can tell that Revolution and The Wick at Both Ends are both open.

That looks like National Express train prices via Doncaster. The coaches from Sheffield to Victoria are generally in line with Megabus prices. In fact I find that when booking late NX is usually the cheaper option.

Internet cafes in south Sheffield - late opening
Lofster replied to topdog's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I've often used the wi-fi at the Harley and Revolution til late (10pm ish) on my own with no problems. Granted you'd probably not want to be there that late with a laptop Friday & Saturday but generally the rest of the week is nice and quiet before 9pm. -
Unfortunately I think it's only a minimum 30 days, it's certainly not as long as 6 years. Though it will depend on the organisation's policy and equipment.

YO! Sushi opens on Monday in Meadowhall
Lofster replied to GeorgieC's topic in Going out in Sheffield
Walked past today. I didn't realise it was in the middle of the mall as I presumed it was in the Oasis. Have to admit I think it's a good idea as it gives it a bustling atmosphere, was very busy so seems to be having the desired effect. Looks like you could dive in for a quick snack or go for something more substantial. Will be trying it... -
Not paid enough contributions to claim jsa!
Lofster replied to ryan1's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
Sounds like shoud be OK. Speak to the experts as you should be able to get income-based JSA which is what you get if you can't get contribution-based JSA. All the best. -
Not paid enough contributions to claim jsa!
Lofster replied to ryan1's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
In that case you should be entitled to income-based JSA. My contribution-based JSA has run out after 6 months and has switched to income-based. You should get back in touch with the Jobcentre to sort this...of course it depends on any income or savings you may have so not sure if that is an issue for you. Best to give them a call first thing tomorrow. -

Gutted I missed this. Popped to the bridge near Sainsbury's/Tesco but it must have been through already. Thanks for the heads up though guys! -
Penalty Charge Notice.. on my car window.
Lofster replied to Lynxb4u's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
If it was a council car park then it was a joke as they're free on Sundays. I assume it was a private car park and thus issued by a private parking company. There's various schools of thought on this if it is private but the over-riding opinion seems to be ignore ignore then ignore some more as they are deemed 'unenforceable invoices'. Check out http://www.pepipoo.com for more info etc. -
Free magazines in Sheffield. Why?
Lofster replied to Jeremy Soup's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
They are all pretty trashy with little or no editorial merit. Useful when visiting the cubicles but surely that's why the Guardian was born. No? Love the latest Exposed food section...see if you can spot a review more than 3 pages away from an advert...betcha can't... -
Lloyd's was originally a completely separate chain that got taken over by Wetherspoon's a few years back.

Just a shame Meadowhall wasn't so prerpared during the floods. The 'soft' option allowing shops to close didn't come til 4pm. By which time there was no public transit and the water was rising quickly. Ended up being trapped overnight in the centre with around 100 others! Quite an experience though, and we got through all of M&S's left over food!
