  1. That'd be great if you could @Ghozer - I can sort out a fiberglass pen and flux if need be.
  2. The Open Reach boxes are part of an old setup. They're a fibre modem which could either support just the one wired device, or could be connected to a separate router for multiple devices and wireless. As time has passed technology has shrunk, and routers now tend to have modems built in to them.
  3. Would you be able to assist @Ghozer? I'd be happy to sort you some beer money.
  4. I'm looking for someone preferably in Sheffield or nearby area that could assist with the installation of a PS-IO switchboard? I believe I have a PU-18 main board (install instructions). I've asked a couple of friends who've advised it would be beyond their skills and/or equipment. Thanks.
  5. Agreed. I did it in 2010, and not only was the fee a bit cheaper (I think), but there were more bands playing music en route, free powerade drinks around the 10-11 mile point, and the goody bag had a few more, well, goodies! Still had fun, and smashed my PB. Even if I did feel awful for it later in the day!
  6. Just a warning to car owners in the Millhouses (S7) area. My car was broken into on Sunday (05/06) evening. The driver-side lock appears to have been "popped out" with a screwdriver or similar device. Both my iPod and TomTom Sat Nav were stolen (I know you shouldn't leave these in your car, but it's a mistake I won't be making again!!). Please be vigilante if anyone offers to sell you these items, the case has been reported to the police.
  7. Yeah, I've had mucky water for most of the afternoon.. Contrary to what's been posted however, we've been told NOT to run water, and NOT to run washing machines. They also hinted at some kind of major incident, but wouldn't specify details. I went out and bought some bottled water.. Ah well.
  8. Just a heads up - if anyone wants this almost impossible achievement (Xbox 360), an attempt is being made over the weekend to get 1000 players on the NBA Live 2007 servers. To participate, you should have 4 accounts with 4 controllers signed in. Why? Because if 250 people show up, each with 4 accounts signed in - everyone gets the achievement! A lot easier than trying to get 1000 unique users online (which isn't likely). The event is officially taking place from 8th September at 9.00pm EST. Unfortunately for us Brits, that's 9th September at 2.00am! This is likely to be the last attempt before the inevitable FINAL one, before EA shut down the servers permanently making the achievement unattainable.. For more information, visit NBALIVE1000.com Cheers! (Please don't kill me for advertising. I'm not affiliated with the site in any way, nor is it a referral link of any kind!)
  9. I bought Ninety-Nine Nights for the Xbox 360 from them last week.. £9.99 It arrived, but NOT sealed (jacket or guarantee sticker).
  10. No offence taken! Thank you for the tip and the link, I'll be sure to check them out later today as it's my day off. I did actually hand my notice in yesterday. 4/5 weeks should be plenty of time to get something sorted if I put my mind to it. I haven't told my parents though as I don't want them stressing about me again.. I'll be sure to update the thread once I've got something! Thanks again.
  11. Having worked for 2 years at Sainsbury's, I've now had enough of being messed about and treated like something they've trodden on. I'm half tempted to hand in my notice today, but having being unemployed for about 8 months previous to getting the job, signing on isn't really something I'd like to do again.. No matter how unhappy I am there. In an ideal world, I'd like to do some kind of admin work, data input. I have previously applied at the Home Office last year, but never heard anything back from them after my interview. I have some experience, from school and college work and a bit of accounting stuff for my Dad's building & plastering company. I'd like to accompany this with some kind of training course, as I'd like to be a computer technician/engineer. I'm not expecting to be sent on a course by an employer, though it would be incredibly awesome.. Is there an agency or someone I can contact to possibly get in to this sort of work and start the ball rolling? I'm sitting on the borderline of depression due to being so unhappy at Sainsbury's... - Yesterday was the last straw, and made me decide to get something done about it. Thanks in advance, Neo.
  12. Well, this is the only bump I'm gonna give this thread.. There must be someone in a similar age bracket, that goes out somewhere in the area and can recommend it for meeting new people?
  13. Cheers for that list, classicfan! Very useful indeed, hopefully I'll have more luck with some of these than I have the Job Centre Plus site.
  14. Haha, yeah.. As mentioned, a variety! It depends on the mood I'm in.
