£2000 bounty on illegal immigrants, cash in.
Max the Cat replied to newboy2011's topic in General Discussions
If I genuinely knew that someone I knew was an illegal immigrant I would like to think I'd warn them indirectly I knew then grass them up. In practice (and this has happened) I wouldn't actually say anything and hope somebody else would cath them but feel years feeling cross abotu them driving down the wages for legal workers. In all honesty I would never have the guts to do anything about it. -
I've found from my partner it's easier just to say veggie. Even if you say that they will ask you if you eat chicken or fish so pescetarian just .would.not.compute.

Dimmer switch for floor lamp advice please

Has she tried getting the same type of wattage bulb but energy saving? I had a bulb in my bedroom and it was very bright but when I replaced it with an energy saving one it was much, much dimmer. -
You shouldn't call yourself a veg if you're not. My husband is a true veg (but cooks the best steak ever), I don't eat Pork, Lamb or non-free range Meat. And I eat meat sparingly and like to know what I eat is realy good meat. That said, I do support cheap meat. Much as people might whinge on cheap meat provided a cheap source of protein and eradicated cholera so nobody should complain about that till they've found a way to replace that type of meat. What is the worst thing you have ever done?

It involved the Fridge in Brixton, a large bag of speed, somebody developing psychosis, and the police and the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon. And that was only my 18th birthday. -

Yes, but you can cover it up for a few more years until you can afford a decent tattoo cover up rather than getting a crap one done now no? What is the point of covering up one crap tattoo with another one? Save up a little and wait until you can cover up your crap tattooo with one that looks really good. -
You may not like me and thats ok but...
Max the Cat replied to Tatman's topic in General Discussions
Please don't feel crap honey, you sound like a lovely bloke and you have family and friends who obviously think the world of you and would feel devastated if anything happened to you. Have you tried the Samaritans if you're feeling very down? If you feel unable to talk face to face you can email them via the following http://www.samaritans.org/talk_to_someone/email.aspx Hope it all works out okay for you but maybe this isn't the right place to talk about this. Currently I'm being told to FOAND because I suggested it isn't okay to return goods without a receipt. But there you go... Take care xx -

Live with it for a bit and wear long sleeves to cover up. What is the point in buying a cover up if you buy one that is no good? You're going to have to live with it just as much as you'll have to live with the tattoo you have now so leave it a little longer and get a decent cover up so you don't have to get it done again and pay again! My BIL had a cover up done in Orchard Square, it was v good, a couple of years back, don't know if they're there anymore. Do wait till you've saved up though, it will be an investment so you don't have to do it again. -
Nice tache.

A lot of people who might say now that they would stand up against Hitler wouldn't if they had the SA or Gestapo against them? If you think you would I suggest you read 'Alone in Berlin' by Hans Fallada or anything by Primo Levi and then think if you would have stood against Hitler. Or look at Sophie Scholl. She was a teenager and printed pamphlets against the Nazi's and was guillotined. If you were caught acting against the Nazi's they would hurt and kill the people closest to you. Fact.

I have a book about the Mitford sisters which include Unity Mitford's (the biggest Hitler cheerleader in Britain pre 1939) written accounts of meeting him before 1939. What is chilling about him is that he is so normal. This is despite the fact Unity (a very young woman) knew how he was treating the Jew's and publicly endorsed it. He liked dogs and appeared to be a kind personable man at that time. I've visited Berlin and seen the Topograhpie of Terror exibition where you stand in front of the gestapo torture chambers and listen to the shouted Nazi rhetoric of speeches that were given from balconies on the gestapo and state buildings above the same site. They are totally chilling. But when you hear about somebody who could have pleasant conversation about other peoples, children, wives, friends, dog and behave normally doing what they did... well that's worse..

Are you completely certain it's not a green subaru? -

Coming from Hull shouldn't prevent you from claiming benefits in Sheffield. Did they say why you can't claim?
