I totally agree. Ive been interested in research about PTSD for several years hoping to inform change in returning military. What I found as in the case of my friend; they got off a plane after spending 9 months in Afghan, had 1 day back at camp(mainly sorting out their gear) and then were sent home on leave. Whilst on the drive back home( after not driving on british roads for months) 3 of the men crashed and were seriously hurt. They were given leaflets about the trauma, no rehabilitation back into society or anything! Shocking.

Im really interested in becoming involved or setting up a support group for people with PTSD in sheffield, does anyone know of any at present?
