cgksheff. This is what I was referring to. I'm in a situation where I gave a cheque, for a deposit, for work done. The cheque was deposited by the company, and the money left my account. However they're now saying, the cheque was returned to them. When I asked for a photo copy of my cheque, I was told, they hadn't got the cheque, just a photo copy:confused:. I then read about the phone app, that in effect lets you deposit cheques, simply by photograph. Alarm bells rang, when the company told me, the cheque's now clearing, as we resubmitted it. Hence my question.

Has anyone ever had the misfortune, to issue a cheque, for a deposit, only to find it's been cashed more than once? I never knew this could happen, but apparently phone app banking, allows this to happen.

I know Meadowhall one, used to have a couple of aisles full of it, but now all I can see are a few odd rolls, and no price on any:loopy:

I rang customer service line yesterday, to ask about re-opening date. Her reply was ' there's no specific opening date as yet. Ring again in a couple of weeks'

Yes I am in receipt of Carers Allowance, and when I rang Jobcentre Plus about it, I was told that 'the appointments are Mandatory', and I could be sanctioned if I don't turn up. Of course i WILL be attending

Hi. I've been told I have to go to a work focus interview, at the Jobcentre. Is this compulsory, as a full time carer?

dylan2008 replied to fox12345fox's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
We were quoted £4,500 by roofers doing the council houses. Stuff that! -
This movie is brilliant, and heartwarming. It's all the more poignant, knowing it's based on the real dog Hachiko. Truly 'mans best friend'.

Motehall road sheffield, manor whats it like
dylan2008 replied to ccartwright1's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
It depends which part of Motehall Road you're meaning. From the junction with Harborough Way on towards Manor Park Centre, its great. Not encountered any 'scum',in all the time we've lived here. Homes that are up for sale, are sold in no time,so it can't be that bad. Same with council houses, they're snapped up really quick. I can list many, many far worse places. -

I totally agree. What with shoplifting and bulimia in Emmerdale,Hayley dying in Corrie, and Carols' breast cancer in Eastenders ,we're long overdue a few belly laughs.. Just brilliant. Can't wait for part 2 next week..
