  1. the best thing to do for names like these is to avoid the cheesy overused names ie hairport cutabove etc etc its much better using your own name ..what better advert for your business is that
  2. definitely an online business is the way forward.. i personally would launch a forum.. look at the power of this place... id go for a jelsoft forum as we see here.. then get help from someone local to help you set up a store based on a cart system i could recommend someone but people have rightly commented on people promoting other people.. all i will say is the company i used for my site do really good online store websites at a great price.. its good that you are chosing something that really interests you also and being collectables ,, its a great way of making cash.. as one person said on here .. overheads really do eat into your profit and market stalls are no different.. i wish you well with it and i hope it is a success. if you need any financial assistance.. a call to the princes trust will be a good bet because based on a good business plan , they will give funding and 121 support.... when you go down the lines of a business plan. it gives you a clearer way of looking at things too. ie what is involved etc... sometimes the excitement of starting makes people forget the important things!!
  3. how many times have you had to be on new deal apelike?? what skills do you have to offer an employer ?? and , what are you doing about finding work yourself.. I have not been unemployed in my 17 years of being able to work .. why?? because i get off my backside , equip myself with the skills , contact employers and appreciate that sometimes, i may have to take on a job that may not pay a great deal.. also i have respect for everyone is doing a low paid job rather than sitting at home , complaining. many of those people out of work chose to be so and it aint right ..
  4. job seekers allowance . should not be given at all. the only thing a job seeker needs is fares for travel , clothes food and a roof over their heads.. most have got all this.all they need is a job and the effort should be to secure that . and if they do not have the relevent skills, give them those skills. instead more assistance should be given to the entrepreneur, the small businesses sector and to funding for training instead.. in otherwords , people who need to take on people but cannot afford it. its nonsense for example for the jobcentre to penalise those who are attending courses to gain work.. ie making people sign off benefits to take on training that will actually get them a job.. instead of penalising them ..aid them.. a client of mine who wanted to do a gym instructors qualification and was told that he would lose his benefit for completing an intensive 3 week course.. stupid. i convinced his advisor that it would lead to work . they allowed him to do it and he completed it .. funnyly enough, hes now working in a hotel health club...
  5. do you need to go on one of these courses to offer airport services??
  6. i work at an a4e office ..but i work with a different client group. i know the courses you refer to.. these are 13week ftet and two week gateway to work courses. Generally speaking, peoples behaviour towards staff others and general public is shocking. Childish, immature totally non job ready and very poor communication skills. The reason why you are sent to these courses are to improve all the above. You are fighting for mainstream jobs against people with a strong work ethic , skills, solid commuication skills and valuable experience. Your attitude in general towards society is deplorable and as far as I am concerned, you should be made to give a valuable contribution to your community by doing some hard labour and showing some respect. Those who are on the course and want to work i have full admiration for them , show willing, enterprise and a little more common sense than the rest. It is these people who go on to better things as they have the mentality and determination to move on. I watch the majority of the people on these courses and every day , they are so childish, disrespectful and think that having an attitude and verbally (sometimes) physically abusing staff is clever.. So in A4e defence, the majority should think themselves lucky that the government are not stopping your benefit entitlement because most of you are not deserving. Wait until flexible new deal comes in and see what lies ahead then!!
  7. hi .. i joined a gym as i was concerned about my weight and wanted to bulk up.. i was around 10 stone 6 when i went.. now im 12 stone.. being of a ,manic persuasion and a high metabolism, i cannot put on weight easily and i tried lots of powders etc and going to the gym was a bind .. but now im loving it.. the facts are .. if something interfers with your normal life and youre tired and you want to achieve, you end up doing faddy things to overcompensate.. it only takes a few missed sessions and its curtains .. then you try something else.. so what i did .. is try a set ureself up with something local to either work or home.. ie i go to the gym immediately after work.. set yourself a goal and my advice would be to go at first once a week .. the more times you go the more you enjoy. be realistic too .. don t overdo it.. you may strainyourself then its curtains again.. im going religeously 3 times a week and its enough.. i have reached my target weigh and have settled into the discipline of it .. its quite a routine if you see what you mean.. hope that does help somewhat..
  8. hi just goes to show how powerful this forum is..we were lookin for this on the news and havnt seen it. we saw this on our way out of sheff yesterday goin to edale.. i must admit.. when we saw him . he was lying sprawled face down and motionless .... was a pretty sickening sight actually. lets hope he is ok and if it was a suicide attempt he seeks the right help available..
