  1. its not Amey doing the drop kerbs and i suggest if you have a problem with the drop kerb contact the actual contractors doing this. you will find that they are only doing what they have been instructed to do. They are not doing it at "random". again find out the contractor and have a word with him.
  2. absolutely rubbish. takes hours and hours to get hair cut and coloured. ridiculous amount of time compared to other (better) hair salons. also cuts are terrible. uneven and not finished properly. shes probably v good at putting hair up in ponytails and buns etc, but when it comes to colouring and cutting forget it. terrible terrible terrible.
  3. Demelza Wrigley at Bell & Buxton superb solicitor. Did work at Norrie Waite and Slater but now ensconced in Bell & Buxton. give her a call and she will sort you out
  4. have you actually been to Whitwell? its a lovely village surrounded by beautiful countryside and some beautiful old buildings. it is not a dump. far from it.
  5. I believe that Ireland (the whole of it) should belong to Ireland, not parts belonging to England. I am Irish, my husband is Irish, we have many Irish family and friends here and in Ireland. I wholeheartedly admit that of what I believe in. Ireland is NOT a part of England. Martin McGuiness should have shot the queen while he had the chance, next stop Margaret Thatcher! and for all you offended by my post.....I dont really give a rat's ass.
  6. the Queen should be begging forgiveness from Martin McGuiness. She should be on her knees apologising for everything that this country did. Northern Ireland already belongs to her, she should give it back to the Irish. Southern Ireland belongs to Ireland, the other counties should also. The British terrorised the Irish. The Irish simply retaliated. The were persecuted people. Hope McGuiness gives her what for
  7. Can highly recommend Model Mentor parties. my daughter had her 8th birthday party there. she had had playcentre parties and build a bear parties already and she wanted something different for her 8th. She had a catwalk party and I have to say it was brilliant. she had 5 other friends and they LOVED it. They practised on the catwalk for a show they put on for the parents at the end of the party. they had a little make up on and got all dressed up. It was by far the best party she has ever had. absolutely fab. it was actually far cheaper than the playcentre parties she had had in the past. and it was £22 PER CHILD, not £22 total.
  8. Demelza Wrigley is extremely thorough and conducts her work with a high level of efficiency. She is one of the best Solicitors Sheffield has to offer.
  9. can not believe no one has mentioned one of the true anthems of Roxys. it was played months and months and months and months before it hit the charts. was an absolutely brilliant song. I have the 12inch version, bought long before it charted. Man to Man - Male Stripper!!!!
  10. if the layby at jct 30 (barlborough) has no spaces, just go up to the roundabout, third exit, hotel, macdonalds, KFC, loads of parking there.
  11. upset a few nobodies would it:rant: how dare you. We live along side the M1, obviously seperated by a row of trees and if they do a 4 lane we could lose our house. they would do a compulsory purchase. we would lose our home!! do you understand that!! yes we would get another one, but nothing like what we have here. We are not a farm, cow or otherwise, and we are certainly not nobodies. But we have a few acres and a stone built detached home. so, you say it would be easy, to upset some "nobodies" and expand the M1, you are an idiot. we are not the only home that would suffer. There are plans for the M1 where we are (which is somewhere between yr little mission) but it certainly is not for a 5 lane motorway. I suggest you have manners and be a little more considerate to others when posting. And yes I may have been inconsiderate to you regarding your post but you dear deserved it:rant:
  12. and then you will buy another one and a few years later yet again another one, instead of saving, buying a good quality that will last longer and save you money in the long term. you will spend more money replacing the cheap ones
  13. Hi, try http://www.modelmentor.co.uk Its run by Jo Markham Webster, who is a model herself. excellent photos. My daughter is having a catwalk party with her. she does really good stuff. Model Mentor is based in Chesterfield so not to far away
  14. Derbytup you are quite right. there are so very many people that think nothing of spending more on a tv than on an essential like a good mattress. also they would buy games consoles and a wedge of games and accessories that would total quite a few hundred pounds over a few months. this could be diverted instead to a good mattress fund!
  15. why would anyone want to buy a "cheap" mattress! They dont last as long as good quality ones. save up and buy a good quality mattress, as Lazarus says, it will last a hell of a lot longer. you buy one at say £90 then it will not last 2 years! well, it may but it will be all squished and no good. you save up and buy one at £600 and it will last years and years. Also my husband pays at least £150. and no we are not loaded. He works bloody hard for his money and when he has enough he can buy the shoes he loves. its not about being loaded and having money its about saving up and getting nice things for yourself. why is that wrong. people spend much much more on booze and cigarettes! save up. it may take longer than a few weeks but it you will see the difference in a good quality mattress.
