  1. I had laser sugery about 2 years ago and I LUV my new vision! still dont need spex or cls and the best thing is when i go swimming as i realy struggled before with me lenses. I got it done at sheffield vision clinic and they were brilliant you can see there web site it is http://www.sheffieldvisioncentre.co.uk/ I actually found out about this place on another website i found called http://www.treatmentsaver.com Had all the clinics on ther and also loadsa useful info on laser eye surgery Hope this helps
  2. you can only get reading spex from poundland and they only work if your eyes are exactly the same prescription - you will prob end up getting headaches if they are not
  3. The only problem with asda is that they have not been selling glasses that long and the managers generally have no experience in optometry. The spex are however very good value I would just be careful if you have any specialist requirements
  4. You need to ensure you are at the correct distance from your computer screen and that the screen is slightly below you - that should help things
  5. Most opticians ask for 50% deposit as they are having to make up the glasses to your prescription and they wont be able to re sell them after
  6. If you hate wearing glasses or contact lenses why not get laser eye surgery? I had laser eye surgery 2 years ago and I LUV my new vision - no more spex for me! Had it done at sheffieldvisioncentre totally class - wish i had it done sooner -
  7. Hi Mtheo, I am an optician and I can tell you that they legally are required to give you information that was found in your eye test. As part of the eye test they will record the PD - which is pupillary distance - eg distance between your pupils. If you have a high prescription this measurement is very important. It will not damage your eyes if you get the PD wrong - but it may result in eye strain and headaches. What is your prescription and I will be able to help you further? Thanks Simon
