  1. Hi , You are wrong on all counts. 1, The Pond was dug out because it was leaking into the Hamlet. 2. The fish were caught and removed by the Environment agency. They were transfered to one of their holding Ponds while the dam was repaired but they lost them when the pond silted over.( Including the Lovley ghosties ) 3, Mr Gibbon was not responable for restocking the pond the way it is now, that was done at the request of the Members, who were fed up of catching Perch all the time. Regards RonP
  2. Hello, The Twins John and Robert,is that them who where in the Star the other week? If so I used to hang around with them and I still keep seeing Bob or could be John now and again. Just mention Ron Parkin then duck!!! Regards RonP
  3. Hi All, Just found this thread, what a great read it as been. I attended All Saint's and Burngreave leaving the latter in 1959,remember Mr Scofield the headteacher,Old lass Yates, polly Perkins. He was my last teacher before I left. We had some great times.Finished up as Ink Monitor,Milk Monitor, class prefect and bell ringer, not seen much mention of Bank, Hill ,Mere ,Wood, remember them.Remember once when the main bell was broken,I had to run round the Corridors ringing the hand bell,( boys side only ) said MR Scofield and Miss Yates was waiting at the girls side, when I stopped all hell broke lose and she marched into the headmasters office and he came out and told me to run all the way round.I used to live just across the road from the School on Danville Terrace,Remember Sledging Down Danville, boy what a ride that was. Regards Ron P
