  1. I would say not http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/hundreds-police-slapped-fines-driving-3034504
  2. Stretch of road from the parkway roundabout to Handsworth top has been resurfaced over the past couple of weeks and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. Its super smooth!! Dont know how long it will last but well done to contractors who laid it
  3. The service was brought back in house from 1 January 2017. The contact centre is run by Sheffield City Council
  4. Certainly looks it. Thanks for posting such great pictures
  5. Sheffield Councils obsession with bus routes continues. Why not improve journey times for all road users instead of just focusing on busses. I dont have any stats to back me up but Id expect far more people travel by car every day than travel on buses. Spend the money where it will benefit the majority of road users, not a minority.
  6. Not sure that is true. I dont agree. What I would like is this council stop making driving in sheffield as difficult as possible in the forlorn hope that it will encourage people to leave their cars and catch a bus. I for one will never catch a bus.
  7. Sorry to revive a thread thats 3 years old, but it looks like work has started on this site. It looks like curbstones hav been laid to form an entryway. Theres nothing I can see on the Rotherham Council website. Hoping its the start of the Aldi development, Anyone shed any light on this?
  8. Mini roundabout to help buses get on the main road. No surprise there then. Theres never a shortage of council tax payers money to help the bus companies transport all those empty seats round the city.
  9. Yep. SCC are working hard to achieve just that
  10. Its always terrible on that roundabout. The council designed the traffic light sequence on the roundabout to favour the smaller junctions as they found it difficult to enter the roundabout. Its just a mess though. Apparently Sheffield council traffic planners use advanced modelling software to predict traffic flow to minimise traffic jams. Personally I think they just like to penalise car users so they can tell you that we'd all be so much better off if we caught a bus. I've no doubt that when ikea opens the revised traffic scheme will include more traffic lights to make the area even more congested
  11. Please send me the name of your dealer cos thats some strong stuff youve been smoking
  12. ...which benefits no one, but costs the council tax payer. SCC planners are a complete joke. Id sack the lot of them
  13. ....and this is down to our car hating traffic planners. They could sort this out if they wanted to, but then point to the queues being caused by too many cars. Be better if you all caught the bus....
  14. .....and replaced with a bus lane More buffoonery from Sheffield Councils finest
