  1. Jesus christ, 52 pages of replies just for a letter coming from the tv licence people. Did you lot not know they run a computerised system where the retailers sell the tv's have to inform them. Imagine how many TV's are sold DAILY in the UK!!! It would take oodles of staff to sort the letters out and post them. It's a completely automated system, therefore, doesn't discriminate against anyone and sends a letter out if you have a licence at the address or not. People, there are far many bigger problems in the world than one person getting a letter from the TV licencing authority and having a good old moan on this forum!!
  2. There is NO homebargains in Rotherham, it is a B&M where the old Woolworths used to be. Tyranna is a tad confused......Home bargains WAS at the bottom of the Moor, but opened up on the retail park on the parkway due to having to close the moor store for redevelopment.
  3. Unfortunately, it's a legal requirement to report ALL incidents relating to car accidents. Even if there is no damage, this covers you in the event of such incidents like this. Just tell them what happened and they will sort out the rest. They will obviously keep you informed of what the other party is claiming which you can contest against.
  4. You cant buy a Mars bar in netto you numpty!!!
  5. Hold on a minute people, try living down south. The fares down there a loads more. EG, In Wellingborough, to get into town on the bus is a minimum of about £2.50, and thats a journey that takes about 7 minutes by car. And you think First is expensive......think again!!
  6. A guy started a thread that commented about Rotherham......Why has this been removed. Is it because it wasnt directly related to Sheffield. How sad!!!
  7. Boy dont we go over the top just because some little ginge was on a humour xmas card. People should really get a life and get a grip. I have ginger friends with ginger kids (poor little <removed>) and they thought the card was reyt funny!!! Has anyone noted that GINGER is an anagram of another racist word beginning with NI and ending in ER!!
  8. bless ya charlie, really pleased to see the signature change. Keep us all posted on your progress, we all itching to know how you get on. Hope you have a great time with your kids over halloween, and keep going girl. YOU CAN DO IT!!! Oh, and don't read too much into my signature LOL!!
  9. Agreed, all whites are not racist, just like all non-whites are not racist. SOME whites AND non-whites are. It's in the under tones of conversations and jokes that we ALL get sent by text. However, just to put a flip on the argument, I have been in situations where non-whites were having a problem and they accused the other white person as being racist, even though the outcome would have been the same if they were white. Should we call this reverse-racism? Trust me, working in retail management for years, I have come across this with refund policies and the like. I have never heard a white person say this. Another thing I just don't understand is the use of the 'ni**er' word. It's racist for a white person to use it, BUT, listen to rap songs and some non white artists use it all the time. Where's the fine line to be drawn? Agreed, the show was set up to portray peoples attitudes and what is to be 'considered' normal to a white person, coud be construed as being 'racist' to a non white person. Dazzler was making a point that 'discrimination' follows ANYONE who is seen as being not quite the 'norm' by biggoted people. I know the programme centred on the whole racist issue, but FACT, discrimination does exist, and as someone said, it's the 'isms'. There are too many of these to mention!! In my honest opinion, I do not believe that everyone is racist,, but I do believe that everyone will at some point display traits of being biggoted. It's human nature don't you think? Now I know this was only meant as a joke solomon, but you have just proved the theory that the 'b it ch' in the programme was trying to make. It may be a joke to you but offensive to other people. By saying this you have sectionalised 'british' people (unintentionally but did you realise?)
  10. the lights in birmingham last year were amazing, and the xmas european market was absolutely fantastic. Much much MUCH better than ANYTHING sheffield has ever offered. I've lived in Sheffield all my life and think that for xmas, they put on such a poor show compared to other cities, it's a real shame. I've always thought the same. In fact, the whole of South Yorkshire is ****e at christmas............
  11. pretenders, hymn to her pretenders angel of the morning annie lennox dark road sinead o'connor, nothing compares to you kelly clarkson, sober pink, i can feel the rain
  12. you will get richer colours and sharpness with glossy prints. Matt ones look a bit dull.
  13. Wilkinsons on the haymarket have a great range with many at 1/2 price at the minute. Go and check them out. Their toy range is loads better than previous years, gone more branded with stuff.
  14. Hey charlie, Sorry to hear about the bad time that you are going through. Like some others said, there are acquantices, then there are TRUE friends. These friends will be there for you no matter what, or how your attitude changes due to your circumstances. Reading your posts has struck a chord and made me think about my own friends, can probably say I have got 4 who will be there no matter what......(I wondered why I deleted 179 people off my facebook account last night lol). As for your signature, you are you, and even though you have this condition, you should be proud you are getting through it and carrying on, even though it's hard. Please change your signature, I dont believe for one minute that you are a P.D.M. You have such courage and will to carry on. Even though I don't know you, I sincerely hope and wish you a speedy recovery. Chin up girl, you're amazing!!
