  1. Someone has been shot and killed. Don't know a great deal as Police haven't released much info on their website yet but they were alerted just after 1:45pm today and it is supposed to be a young man that was killed. BBC news claim it was a planned hit on the guy who ever he was and the Police have said they don't think it is random but wont confirm this early on. All I know is that the man is dead. More gun crime on our streets, todays society at it's finest!!!! Scum bags
  2. I'm always prepared to give something a go and try new things, best way to learn and discover what works and what doesn't for yourself. Yeah I know all about the "egos" that carry a belt!! Even if it is one they'd bought down at Decathlon over the weekend and graded themselves in their living room at home before training! Yeah, thats true!
  3. Hi Noel, Yeah I know that Rob has been really enjoying his training down there with you guys and seems to broadcast it all over his facebook page with his pics!! Yeah it would be good to come down and train with you both again, yeah you used to show us a few moves and daft me always said "Ooh I'll try it and ended up getting mauled"!! I will get down in the next few weeks and give it a crack. See you soon mate, Jamie.
  4. Themadrev, I know that name!! Noel, it's Jamie from NMAA, used to train with you at Esporta with Sensai Steve Ainscough, how's it going mate?? Rob trains with you down at The Forge doesn't he. I keep meaning to try and get down there and try some BJJ myself, going to have to get my finger out though had a couple of injuries over last few weeks (excuses I know) Anyway, hope your well mate and will get myself down there soon. Jamie
  5. Contact details are on the website - http://www.theforge-ma.co.uk
  6. I train at Esporta and have been there since January 08 though was a member before for a year but had to quit due to moving out of the area for just over a year. Though it is more expensive at £60 a month I can say, having been a member and employee of Fitness First and Fitness Unlimited (Ponds Forge), it is a great gym with brand new top of the range equipment and very very friendly staff. The facilities are very clean and tidy and cant say I have felt threatened in the changing rooms. Yes, there is a few "prats" in there to be polite but you get them everywhere, even at a gym that charges £60 when they could go next door to Fitness First for £30. I did quite enjoy my time at Fitness Unlimited though at the time they were expanding and as time got on, the crowd gradually got worse and wasn't quite as pleasant as I'd like it to be.
  7. Average rate now a days is £60 - £80 for standard upvc doors.
  8. Hi, You will still be better trying a free trial anyway to see which one you think offers the best facilities for your individual requirements etc.. You may pay more at a certain gym as apposed to another one but you have to consider what you are getting for that extra money. The best thing to do is go on the free trial BUT when you fill in the form which is basically your free day pass, put down fake contact details so that way you wont be able to pester you as believe me they will call you every week and the rest!! Had the experience from as a customer and also from working in that sector. I am at Esporta which is £60 per month and you are tied to it for 12 months. Full membership at Fitness First is around £30 though they have a few price plans to suit the individual. Sam Jones, Virgin and greens are about £40 - £45. Cant remember what Fitness Unlimited offer, think it's around £30 but not 100% sure. Also depends on where you live too in terms of getting there etc... Esporta sits bang next door to Fitness First which are both convenient for me and have been a member of both clubs. Although Esporta is a lot more expensive, the facillities are far far better and even at the "peak" times, your never really queing for a machine etc... But get to some free trials and just don't let them pressure you into taking a membership unless your sure about what you want.
  9. Hi, I am wanting to learn Joinery & Carpentry and was looking to enrol in to The Sheffield College this September to do their 2 year evenings course to eventually become City & Guilds qualified and start a new career. I actually spoke with the college this Tuesday after reading the course details on the net on Monday only to find out that the college has in fact dropped the evening classes this September leaving only the day classes available, which is no good for those of us working full time looking to study in our spare time for a change of career. Does anyone happen to know of any other centres in or around Sheffield offering these courses, preferabbly leading to a City & Guilds qualification?? Many Thanks.

  11. Yeah, as Bestlad has said, they are supposed to be a good agent. A friend of mine has rented through them recently and had nothing but praise for them and their services. Check out there website - http://www.propertypartnersonline.co.uk J
  12. I know of a company called Property Partners based down in S6. They are a family run company and I have heard good things from a mate of mine who has rented through them recently. May be worth checking out their website, it is http://www.propertypartnersonline.co.uk and I think that all the info about the company etc is on there. Hope this helps. J
  13. Exactly mate!! The day these brain dead a**e h***s wake up and get out of this childish racism crap, the better. And like you say it is widespread enough against white's too but no one seems to give a toss about that. If your white your expected to put up with the s**t from the rest of them then be expected to let these scum bags jump on the bandwaggon crying wolf (or should I say Racist!!!) Pathetic.
  14. Yes your landlord has full responsibilty of the repairs to the property. If it is your own furniture or appliances then obviously that is your responsibility. But they are legally required to put this right. Make a diary of all calls made to him and messages left. Also keep a copy of any letters sent to him and always date them. He is breaching his agreement and you have the right to take him to court though much easier to resolve out of in terms of costs and hassle etc... But don't let him mess you about and as people have said get in touch with the council and if they get on his back he will soon move his feet. I work for a lettings company and deal with all maintenance aspects for over 100 properties. The landlord wont be happy when he has to pay for a repair costing £££££ but it's tough luck, that is his responsibility and if he doesn't like the responsibility he should have thought about that before getting in to the lettings business!
