I have had very mixed experiences in black cabs over the last few years. There have been many polite drivers who drive responsibly but unfortunately there have been many more that drive like idiots and are rude as can be. On the flip side to that i know many times where, when drunk, me and my mates have loudly complained about the cost of the taxi fare and no doubt been a nightmare to take home. My complaints: * Taxi fare up front - Had a guy last week try to take £25 upfront when he had no idea how far away my house was. Had to tell him from the off that it was no where near that and i wont give him more than £15. then had to direct him. * The condition of the cabs - i am sure some are not road legal * Drivers that take the **** - had a few drive the long way home on purpose and take wrong turns. I know i am drunk but i have lived here all my life; i know exactly how to get home drunk or not.

Is this post a joke? Wu Tang Clan are the only reason i personally want to go to tramlines, they are legends of Hip Hop. Its the drunken idiots and pick pockets in the area im more scared of; I bet scum bags travel from all over to go stealing at tramlines. M-E-T-H-O-D MAN!

Castle BBA is honestly a HUGE rip off ! They tried to get me to pay £3000 up front after i completed the beginners course. They said it is either that or pay in installments which would have totaled up to god knows how much over three years. The training is non contact unless you do the advanced course and the lessons lasted half an hour or 45 mins at best. Chef kickers gym in town is spot on and what i expected from a kickboxing gym. The first lesson i was involved in physical training which i was more than happy with and i felt i learned more in the few sessions i went there than i did at castle. When i say few sessions it was only the fact that i had to move house i stopped going.

My competence? the details provided on the sheffield.gov.uk website were wrong. I copied and pasted the email address provided.. how could that be a competence fault.. I also called the number provided which connected me to the fax machine. Its funny that you write such a post that defends Mr Betts because around the same time i received an email from his assistant who has seen this post and has apologized for the details being wrong. Exactly my point... Lazy tramps dumping rubbish is making our area look a tip and it is not fair on the decent people around here

I did the same last time i cleared up a few boxes around Christmas time that had been dumped. i checked the envelopes but there was no address or name. what gets me the most is it is probably the people you pass by in the day and say hello to with a smile. whats your advice? best people to call?

thank you for the information, i never realised how much the tramps around here annoy me until instances like this occur. Its just immoral to dump in your own area or any area for that matter. it is literally like they have taken there black bin and tipped it out on a dog walk. really annoyed

Hi all, I am writing this in a more than annoyed state of mind which i will explain in a moment. Basically has anyone else from the Halfway or S20 area noticed that dumping rubbish is on the rise and local dog walks are just becoming tipping grounds for inconsiderate Tramps, scrubbers, low lives and so on. Just took the pooch out and i knew it was getting bad around here but this is absolutely appalling (see link to pics) Now to why i am annoyed. On arrival home i decided to contact my local MP Mr Clive 'unreachable' Betts via email only to receive a notice that the email address provided on the http://www.sheffield.gov.uk council website was actually in active. I then thought i would call the office with the number provided in hope to get the answering machine..... turned out i was the fax number that they provide so you cant actually contact with any of the details provided. Hi all, Basically I have had a few months off doing activities due to breaking my wrist leaving my fitness levels to drop. Are there any clubs out there that do body conditioning classes? Somewhere I can get my body battered a couple of times a week with the goal of raising fitness levels again. Preferably like to find full body workouts rather than stuff that isolates body parts.

Anyone know about the taped off area on halfway drive? Sources say its a shooting and knife attack, theres been no press release so wondering if anyone else has information about it. Such a nice area to live in but just like every other area there are idiots that ruin it.

Humdrum bars that lack custom? do you even know which bars are included in Carnage? and as you don't socialize by drinking with friends and colleagues ( i presume because drinking is for people with low esteem) do you even know which bars are classed as lacking custom? Your being presumtuous, believing that the event drag students into any old bars

Just seen this You really are out of touch with the modern world and obviously like to be over analytical about such small things. Exploit students, compel them to drink, acquire self-esteem and make friends? mountain out of a mole hill is the expression best suited here. You need to take the emphasis away from the Pimps and Hoes part it really is not as it sounds. Self esteem is nothing to do with it, they don't go out get really drunk just so pluck up the courage to speak to new people and feel good about them selves. Students drink, they party, they are not model citizens as soon as they turn 18 and conform to the 9-5 rat race. yes they have good intentions by doing the degree to better them selves but on the road to this degree they are fully entitled to having fun in which ever way they like. Most will go out 2,3,4 nights a week its there way of enjoying themselves. whats wrong with that? surely you had your ways of having fun when you were that age? maybe it wasn't going out and drinking but each to their own. I am not defending all students i will fully agree that some will go out get so drunk that they have the "Ooops who are you and why are you in my bed moments" but you can't put them all in one category.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? you really have blown Carnage out of proportion and away from a night dressing up and getting drunk to a special occasion run and organised properly by a company. Enjoy safety in numbers.... you really think for one second a student takes the time to think "hang on if i go out with hundreds of people in town tonight wearing the same as everyone else i will be safe". Freedom to organize their own entertainment... so they don't go out every weekday when such events are not on? they just wait until an event is on or they don't go out?.. carnage is on Sunday night (or at least use to be) town is dead Sunday night.. carnage drags business into a town full of empty bars.. they are not sheep but they are going to the bars that have atmosphere which wouldn't even be there without carnage. Sorry but your whole post is just way over the top.

Perfectly summed up..... I have been on a carnage night out and it was a right laugh. I am a student and having been out most nights in my first and second year I can honestly say I have barely seen one fight.... If it was a fancy dress night for full time workers out at a weekend you just know it would be full of people getting drunk and fighting. The people on here moaning just wish they could be involved and if you don't then you should. Especially if your male.... Under 21s dressed up haha dream !!

Thanks for the info on espresso, I heavily agree cappuccino can be really badly made !! To the point its just espresso shots and badly steamed milk, I don't get people that will accept a bad cappuccino because its just like drink in froth! I also don't get people that have wet cappuccinos
