  1. No that's OK just pleased someone came up with the answer! You missed a great band.
  2. No I am informed it was New Formula - which you immediately remember when somebody tells you! Great Band.
  3. EdmundH - Timebox were superb and always a full house. Who was the band that had 2 singers but one always wore a black leather glove 'allegedly' he only had one hand? Something Lace was it? Great Band.
  4. Hi Granniebeebi We must have been in the same form I am still in touch with Sue Coupe and Bev Tummon - who are you? Megson what year did you start?
  5. I have tried to counter your argument and it is you that hasn't explained how I should go about my quest. There is/was no malicious intent, so how do I run the exercise without showing his face? Answer please instead of 'spitting the dummy out.
  6. Peter Robinsons - fabulous shop 3 floor and a coffee shop on the top floor. Great clothes my friend was the window dresser there, I bought a Jeff Banks blouse there before he became famous, wish I had it now. Hornes was on the opposite side at the top of King Street. 2 great shops for the times pity we lost them.
  7. To answer your hypothetical question if said person wants to lie then he can hardly turn round and moan about it if he is caught out? all of which is totally irrelevant to my quest to indentify the man with the moustache. On your terms I should have pixelated his face and then asked the question - no answer to that one really.
  8. Thank you Jsarr - that is exactly how I would feel if he was an old relative - Is it us?
  9. When the actual photograph was taken (circa 1935) it was a common practice/business then in holiday towns for photographers to take 'snaps' the subjects were not aware that this had happened until he gave you a ticket, your choice if you chose to purchase or not, nothing to do with anyone being rude and the practice continued well in to the 1960's. I personally don't care what you think you want to torment yourself over it do so.
  10. Well there you go Tommo - I have recently found a clip of Joe Cocker singing at the Esquire years ago on You Tube and who is in the middle of photo? Me. Do I care? not a bit of it in fact I am thrilled. Sad little world you live in.
  11. Hi Chiqita What form were you in in 1958 I was in 1X Miss Turner was our form mistress.
  12. Absolutely right 'Me & Pippo' To Tommo - just take your pendantic way of looking at things in another direction, this is my family I am talking about and in no way would I wish to take benefit of their existence. Being immensely proud of them is enough - you must live in a very sad world go and pontificate to someone else.
  13. Thank you Belle for that! I did laugh when I read it, don't worry Frederick1 we are all rooting for you. Yes my parents in the pic are early 20's, and would now be 104 and the gentleman in question behind them looks around 40+ so if he is out there at the moment I would be thrilled to shake his hand. ---------- Post added 14-03-2015 at 20:12 ---------- Trastrick - yes think we have established it was Blackpool and one of the many holiday photos that was taken ad hoc and you didn't know about it until the photographer gave you the slip. As for being middle class, my father was working class all his life now the guy who is the subject of the search definitely looks middle class - will we ever know?
  14. Well I shall just have to live with your patronising thoughts, don't worry it will not keep me awake at night.
