  5. Steve, Sorry if my question is not clear. I did assume I’d made the question clear in the topic title, “Anyone had experience of using a VA?” Here’s a Like for your remark ---------- Post added 06-01-2018 at 19:26 ---------- Thank you Elphi 24 - that’s a helpful response. I suppose I was hoping general admin tasks such as email responding, posting on social media channels and research.
  6. Hello all, I'm at the point in my business where I could really do with a Virtual Assistant. I'm rather keen to be ethical and sustainable in practice and have friends who've made a lot of money through outsourcing to countries such as India. My question is, whilst I'm keen to use a VA to help me with day to day admin tasks that take up a lot of my time, the prices I'm getting from UK-based VA's are around the £30 p/h mark. I had also considered an apprentice to work on writing, social media and emailing but over the years, I've had interest but not much success in funding someone who is reliable. Any advice much appreciated! Best wishes for 2018! Kate x
  7. Hi, I know a fab mortgage adviser who works for Optimum Finance in Fulwood. Her name is Polly Ker, she's sorted all of mine out. This is their number: 0114 2291900. Kate x
  8. Hi all, On Monday 9th October, we are having an open day at Hill & Co Accountants on Holme Lane, Malin Bridge, S6 4JW. (Basically opposite Towsure). We are open for cake and coffee all day (9am-5pm) but we are having a special business networking session (free) 12-2pm for local business owners and our own clients etc. The session is open for anyone in business or who'd like to come along for some advice, meet other business owners in the area or just come and eat cake. Hope to see some of you there. Kate
  9. Thanks, yes, I always do a call to action - might join one of these facebook ad webinars. Good advice, cheers.
  10. Get in touch with the Chamber of Commerce in Sheffield and Rotherham. They run loads.
  11. Hi all, I've recently set up my new portfolio and business support-based website/blog here: https://thesteelcityhub.com. Although I've used Facebook advertising on numerous occasions before, I'm struggling to create one that is effective for my Build With Steel Packages. I'm getting lots of traffic but no interactions or sales from the adverts I'm running. A lot of my current clients are sharing my posts etc but just not seeing the point of paid advertising at the moment. Can anyone advise on using Facebook ad's for a service-based business? I've only really done them for product-based businesses before. I'd be glad to do some skill swapping etc. Any advice/feedback much appreciated. Thanks x

  13. Hi all, Sure some of you have heard of Mummy Power by now but if you haven't, we are a group of local mums who applied for Big Lottery Funding to help us get free kickboxing/fitness and nutritional sessions for mums who haven't got childcare for exercise (kids not essential). We train every Monday at 6pm and every Wednesday at 5.30pm at Powers Martial Arts Centre, Stannington - we are a really friendly bunch and we now have over 50 women who come when they can - usually there's about 12-15 women at any one sessions and the number of kids varies. The sessions are free but we do ask for a voluntary donation of £10 for the whole year to be a member and £2 for each child - for the year. With membership comes: - two free sessions per week - free Mummy Power t-shirt - free nutritional advice/weight assessments once a month - Gradings every 6 months - lots more And lots more! We've been on Radio Sheffield recently and the group is doing so well, some mums have lost a lot of weight and feel much better in themselves. You don't have to bring the kids either but they do have a separate training teaching them in the same room as us. All ages of mums and kids welcome. Whether you like kickboxing or not, you can do as much or as little as you want - there's no one to one combat or anything like that, we just punch and kick bags to music, do some other fitness and just generally have a good laugh. Please feel free to Like the page on Facebook "Mummy Power" and we have a private group for members too and drop Kate Hill or Samantha Marren a message. Feel free to contact the gym for more info: info@powersmartialarts.co.uk Telephone Paul Powers on: 07831 763688
  14. Hi all, I'm starting to expand on my services and have decided to develop an online webinar course and informative blog with reading materials for start-ups and existing small business owners. I want to kick off with either a 'start with bookkeeping for your business' course or a 'writing for your business' (general marketing & writing) course. I have good qualifications in both areas - just to clarify. Which would small business owners find most useful in the first instance? Any feedback welcome. I'm just developing my new blog/website for my services so I'll share that as soon as I can. Thanks.
  15. Hi all, Does anyone know any kennels/ dog sitters that are available for today through to monday for our Sprocer? Called a load of places! ?
