I think he has weighed out all his options and thinks he can make a decent living out of it. Its just that he'd be £800 down if the panel decides him not being fit for it. I think this sort of decision should be taken in advance rather then making a person sit through all tests and pay all fees, the whole process itself takes 6 months.

Done that and they said he has to sit through all tests and pay all the fees before they can make a final decision. the application is sent to a panel consisting of 3 members who pass their judgement. just wondering if anyone else has gone through the same and what was the outcome.

Hi, I want get some information about being eligible for Sheffield taxi license on behalf of a friend. He has had a drink driving conviction 6 years ago. Is he fully eligible or will he be refused on those basis. He has not had any convictions after that and has now got a clean license. Thanks

Hi, I have a problem with the exhaust, just thought I'd put it in here and get some valuable advice. It gives a funny noise when I'm backing the car and I can actually smell the emissions inside the car as well. The strange thing is, It passed the MOT so I can only assume that the CAT is working fine. Took it to a garage and the guy basically said there's a crack after the cat (near bend) and needs replacing. Just wondering if anyone can fix it by welding the part as BMW exhausts are very dear ? If it can't be fixed where's the cheapest place to get it replaced? Thanks

Hi, I live near london road in sheffield and I have to get to M60 (Manchester) J8 by 6 AM tomorrow. Just wondering what route would be the best. I'm planning on taking A628 instead of snake pass since its terrible coming out of Glossop, tons of slow moving cars there. Also, I think rush hour traffic on M60 doesn't start till 7 but I'm not sure, Anyone knows for sure what time it starts building up? Thanks
