  1. Public satisfaction with NHS at lowest ever level, survey shows - BBC News Raw sewage discharges in England and Wales hit record (ft.com) Commuters hit by train delays and mortgages bill hikes told by minister: 'You're being grumpy' | Evening Standard Does the Minister mean it's the fault of the population, or Tory voters specifically
  2. It sounds like you're a bit bloated. Did they recommend Deflatine?
  3. Lee Anderson! Imagine coming second to Lee Anderson 😆
  4. I know. Carers are the backbone of society. Real unsung heroes and always overlooked. They save the country a fortune. Given Ed Davey's experience I do know that the Liberal Democrats will have a good offer for carers this election. In the meantime, Facebook is having a meltdown over Jonathan Gullis' promotion: 😂
  5. I wondered what that barrel scraping sound was earlier today
  6. Not as funny as election night, when it comes. I bet who ever makes popcorn will make a fortune....(mental note to self - get the butterkist in) Are there any Tories you'd especially like to be saved or got rid of at the next election Hacks?
  7. That's very considerate! Now what do you think about these Ministers stepping down at this time, sounds like they don't have much confidence in Tories winning the election?
  8. You could've always informed others yourself
  9. But they appropriated the flag for their own political purposes. Anyway their a dead duck of a party now.
  10. I'm not especially religious so I don't celebrate St. George's Day....It's not like Christmas where there is a notable tradition. I know that St George is the patron saint of other countries (I seem to think Spain or Portugal is), might be interesting to see how other countries celebrate it. Do Scots celebrate St Andrew's and the Welsh St David's? I know that on St Partick's Day, some people who aren't even Irish go round the city centres of an evening in those tall hats drinking Guinness
  11. Breaking news - 2 Ministers have resigned from Sunak's cabinet Two ministers quit in double blow to Rishi Sunak (msn.com) Rats & sinking ship!
  12. So UKIP can change the Union Jack to suit their needs, but no one else can. So what if UKIP weren't representing England on on a national sporting stage, that's irrelevant. They've changed and appropriated a national flag for their own interests.
  13. Yes that was my thought at being in bed with Michael Gove
  14. Perhaps it's the practicalities. Schools nowadays are really struggling for resources and time. If a set amount of children miss school in a term, then the teacher or teaching assistant has to spend more time helping that child catch up. That's time the teacher could be better used for preparing lessons, or marking or whatever else they do. Plus the fact if lets say 2 children out of each class in a school are out of lesson due to holidays; that sends a message out to the other children and parents that the school is lax about attendance.
