  1. Can anyone help me? I am seeking a therapy/treatment room or small private office to rent on an hourly / daily basis in Totley, Bradway or Meadowhead areas of Sheffield to use a consulting room for my Psychotherapy business. Please can you message me or reply to this thread if you have a room available to rent or if you know of someone who does Thanks in advance
  2. thanks, do you know name of company? ---------- Post added 06-10-2013 at 07:43 ---------- Haha! Just realised that's the name of the company! Thanks
  3. hi, am looking for place to store large items indoor or outdoor, around 22ft x30ft in south side of Sheffield or north east Derbyshire or bakewell/baslow/surrounding areas. any recommendations very welcome
  4. I went to an appeal today to support someone who in my professional opinion is totally unfit to work and found the experience quite unpleasant. It was like being in court for committing a criminal offence. I can understand that some people on benefits should not be on them but to see someone with serious mental and physical health problems be reduced to significant distress felt unnecessary. I think as legal and medical professionals, interpersonal skills left a lot to be desired. I feel as competent professionals the information required for the purpose of the appeal can be gathered without putting people (who are already suffering enough) through so much distress. As a professional I felt intimidated into not being able to support my client. I was politely told to keep quiet and was informed i would get my chance to speak at the end. I didnt. So i raised the point and made my point. Totally unnecessary and quite cruel. Anyway we won but I reckon it will take a good few days for my client to get over that experience. My advice would be to go with some support. Unfortunately the clients representative from CAB didn't turn up at last minute. I found it helpful to jot down questions and points to raise as they insisted on speaking only to the person who the tribunal was for and bringing up my points at the end. Not a nice experience.
  5. Go to your GP and ask for cognitive Behavioural therapy
  6. Perhaps the weather has been variable in different areas and at different times today?! Horrid conditions for some at certain places and times, then clear half an hour later?
  7. I drove from Tideswell to Dronfield between 5 and 6pm. Awful, my wheels spinning, skidding, poor visibility all the way until holmsfield, then clear in Dronfield. Stopped to take a breather and considered leaving my car. Travelled this route often for last two years and tonight was first time I considered leaving my car! Mad weather!
  8. I'm so sorry. I hope you have people to support you right now? Xxxx
  9. Does anyone know any more? Preferably south Sheffield
  10. The Accupuncture didn't help me personally. It was really painful and actually made me quite tense. This could have been the pressure of the situation, who knows?! I had it a couple of times before for pain and stress after a car accident and didn't feel a thing. No idea why it was so painful when I had it for ivf and why it helped with pain and wasn't remotely painful. I had it with a different person (totley clinic) that time. For me ivf is no longer an option so we are hoping to adopt. On a break at the moment. What I do think is worth sharing is I totally believe after several unsuccessful years of trying is you do get your head around what life deals you - with time and reflection. I felt sick at the thought of not having kids. I still don't have them. It's not what I want but it does get easier to live with in time - in my experience.
  11. I saw the woman on ecclesall road when I had ivf. Mine didn't work but my friend who saw her had successful ivf. My advise would be look at evidence before you are in the thick of it emotionally. I paid several hundred pounds cos I felt desperate at the time. If my memory serves me right and in hindsight the evidence to support it wasn't that strong. Whatever you decide, good luck, x
  12. I don't go out much anymore (too old!) but thought it was brilliant and made me feel proud to be from Sheffield. It's just what we need.
  13. just wondered if anyone knows what my rights are. We went away Friday and returned Sunday. There were no cars on our drive. On return we had a royal mail card through the door that said "pkt in car" - a bit odd as there were no cars there. I asked the postman and he said he would make enquiries with the person who delivered on saturday. Today he put a note through the door saying that the saturday postman put the parcel on the front seat of a car that was on our drive with the bonnet up! i can't find out who put their car on our drive (some cheeky bugger) but most importantly i would like to know if the postman should have done what he did before i phone up the post office and have a rant. thanks
