O.k before some one screams IP infringement, Copy write theft, Illegal downloads, rips, hacks and cracks....read on O.k now that's out of the way Recently while updating a friends website for his online gaming guild (and yes it's a star wars game) i thought it would be an idea to find a freebie they could mess around with after reading the mess that was an update log, and that's when I found Star Wars The Battle For Endor and Star Wars The Battle For Yavin. For the ones in the know, will know these arnt Star Wars games that were released on any major platform... that's because these weren't made by Lucas Arts...SHOCK HORROR! ....IP infringement, Copywrite theft, Illegal downloads, rips, hacks ... ...... WAIT FOR IT!...... no it's non of these things. Back in the early 2000's a guy called Bruno Marcos, a guy who sat there and created his own games, and thanks to a little thing stated by god almighty George Lucas himself "I love when people create their own star wars mythologies and additions to the story" and because Bruno isnt claiming that registered trademarks are his own works...he is able to do this....and what's better is...the games are free. So now that's all out of the way Star Wars The Battle For Endor and Star Wars The Battle For Yavin are basically space flight sims where you blow up tie fighters to star destroyers...remember X-Wing Vs Tie-Fighter ? Star Wars Galaxies Jump to light speed ? well that's what it's like, its a simple game & very well done. Sadly the graphics are like the games belong on an Atari or an early N.E.S system but still fin to play. And yes they work on windows 7 before any one ask's....so give it a try and post your feedback Star Wars - The Battle of Yavin Star Wars - The Battle of Endor and yes I could of made this post more interesting and more to the point but... meh!... it's gone 1am so

from a design point of veiw it would be great for : Photoshop After Effects Z-Brush 3DS Max Maya etc etc etc for every day use and gaming.....forget it

to be honest I was done with mw3 multi player after about a week as it didnt really offer anything new, and the only reason i got it was because i was loosing interest in battlefield 3 but after playing mw3 i found a return to BF3 a welcome one

It’s easier to seek forgiveness when a good wholesome human being makes a mistake than it is to even find a pit or and test the viscosity of festering snakes. Although if you find any there's many reputable scientific institutions that will undertake the work for you

well if your not completely appalled by pokémon, I have a spare deck you can use , anyway Ive been thinking of checking it out for a while. Might have to see if they have an events calender or something

Hey all, Im sad to admit it but I'm getting back into some of my old gaming ways with things such as Magic the Gathering and the Pokémon TCG. I heard that Patriot games in Sheffield does weekly events for both, I'm just wondering if anyone has been to any and what they are like ?

Im sure they will still post here for a while till people get used to the idea of having a gamer group, but im sure the mods will be diligent in moving post's to where they need to go till the dust settles

In one respect your right, but not all games fall under Computer & Tech Chat, as their are many many other games that arnt on a digital media, like magic the gathering card game, Pokémon Trading card game, DnD miniture model games like warhammer & pen and paper roleplaying games not to mention all the others. Just cause it's a game doesnt mean it all belongs here, and instead of having two seperate areas for games and their types it makes sense to put it all in one place.

Not bad, Just downloaded, installed and tried it and out of X amount of thousand of entries it cleaned out a whole bunch, some from programs I had installed, used then taken out 8+ months ago, so I am impressed. Great find Dude111 and great recommendation

Im sure that the style would be a big hit for people outside of the U.K like the states, but i cant see to many gamers touting their patriotic love for the country through their XBOX's
