  1. Hi All. Firstly, if i've put this in the wrong section can admin pls move it to the correct one pls, thanku I have moved about hf an hr away from Shef and am in need of an artificial turf layer/installer for 44 sqr mtres, my postcode area is NG20 and need it doing preferrably by the 28th as we move into the property then and the current person is seemingly rather unreliable so far!! Its a newbuild property with a flat straight forward garden thats currently just mud but it will need levelling. Needs to be a professional as the turf is costing a fortune and so dont want to risk any further costings. Pls inbox me with info/contact number and or website details. Many thanks Angela
  2. Hi. Thanks Sammy and Bonny, thats a great help, hopefully Sheila will be measuring up nx wk Hi Strix, she knows me as i've done parties for her friends and supplied perfumes for others, i'm not the sort of person to go off the deep end especially with such reasons for not being able to work, i had a majorly bad pregnancy with my 1yr old and was hse bnd for the last 3mths not even able to stand and cook let alone anything else, so it's not that i dont understand. Her hubby turned up with 5 dresses, saying the 2 little ones were done and wanted paying - more than she had quoted, but i just gave him what she had told me she wanted, the other thing is that because he just turned up out the blue my little nieces were not there to try them on and makesure they were correctly done - yet i still had to pay, however afterwards i looked at them and the hems look nowhere near straight, i'll hopefully find out tmrw night if they are ok or not so fingers crossed. I live in the sticks and so was lucky to have her not too far away so to have to try and find another seamstress with just a few weeks to go and no call of apology or anything when she knows how easygoing i am i think is a little off, personally i would feel mortified to do that to someone and deffinately pick up the phone, if i wasnt well enough i would ask my partner to ring and apologise before returning the dresses. Sorry to hear you've not been well, i certainly hope it's nothing like i was, good luck with everything and i hope you have a good labour and birth xx
  3. Hi Everyone. Am really hoping you can help, i'm getting married 3 weeks on Friday and my seamstress has suddenly let me down, when she came out to measure everyone up there was no mention of pregnancy but then one night last week her hubby turned up with all the dresses saying she cant do them due to being pregnant n needing bed rest. Obviously i understand the situation but surely a phone call out of courtesy would have been appreciated forewarning me. Anyway i am now in such a major panic and dont really have time to be trawling the internet, i really need to find somewhere and quick that comes highly recommended PLEASE. Also if you could give me an idea of price or a phone number with your recommendations then that would be a great help. I am coming through to Sheff tmrw (Weds) with the dresses and leaving them at my mums as thats where some of my bridesmaids live. What a nightmare, so if any of you have any info please feel free to text me on 07872923612 with any info. Thanks loads in advance A xx
  4. You have brought back some excellent memories, thankyou Danny:bigsmile:
  5. Hi. I have had a number of recommendations from on here so no doubt you will get the same!!! Which is a great help trust me, anyways....they were..... Henleys were extremely quick to pop over for a quote which was good however it was rather high to say the least you may get a different service though so it's still worth getting a quote from them 07807276238/07776006292/07791333359, Bob Dawson seemed reasonable and again came when arranged 07772366168. The one however who did stand out the most was Ash the Plaster-Master i'm just waiting on his quote to come back 07906601194. He also posts on here. Good luck - you will need it!!!
  6. Maybe one should try the bottem of Rutland Rd at night :hihi:
  7. I must admit that when it was Nimmo's and originally changed to Niche it was great - i was there every weekend after going to Rise at the leadmill, that is if i hadnt been working at Capitol - The Baxindales other club. I moved away for a while and when i came back in early 1997 i thought i would treat myself to a night down there, my god how it had changed, it had become extremely 'clicky' apologies if i havent spelled that right!! I tried it a couple more times but it had simply lost its atmosphere i think could have happened when it was refurbed. But it just seemed that everyone was tryna be the hardman and all women were covering their territory - just felt uncomfortable plus all the old faces were no longer there. Personally i have grown up since that era and no longer have any interest in mingling in the same circles getting upto the same things, but i would like to say that i spent many a happy night there and made many a good friend - i for one will remember Niche for what it was and certainly not what it is now. I also think it was partially ruined when all the underground music became commercialised or is that just me???
  8. Oh dear, no but i think i may have to watch it again just to see that!!!
  9. Try the timber yard on i think its sussex street near the hilton, i just got mine £250 n it's fab, its the 6 inch stuff so not cheap tack and they delivered free 01142730223
  10. i'm 32 babes and have had many a drunken night since then, i cant remember what i did yesterday let alone which part my teacher played 15/20 years ago!!! she was in it briefly looking for someone that had gone missing i think, she was my drama teacher, fantastic woman
  11. my school teacher was in that, ohhh showing my age now!!
  12. There used to be a big concert / festival but i cant remember the name of it now - possibley shine ??? It started down the wicker i think behind the sadacca?? then went to the don valley bowl, havent heard of it for some time though can anyone recall??? Other than that we have Mayfest which i have gone to every year since it started in 2000, that is until this year, apart from the fact that it was peeing it down i just wasnt as interested with it being at the don valley bowl, it should have stayed at hboro, 'dont mend what isnt broken' i think the saying goes
  13. Would anyone else care to share their memories of The Roxy?????
