Worst Car Park In Sheffield ?
sheffandy replied to bassett one's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Kilner Way Retail Park. Must have been designed by a sadist. Very unsafe with blind bends, tight junctions and full 45 ° angles to enter parking areas. And bad for pedestrians who want to walk across from 1 side to the other, no crossing facitity. Awful. -
22 March: A New Chapter For Supertram
sheffandy replied to SheffieldForum's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Can't agree with the above. Anyone that follows Stagecoach Supertram on X will be well aware of just how many tram 'failure' posts there are each day. There are loads every month. That's why tram stops are packed with passengers because there are that many gaps in the schedule. Stagecoach have got away with it for years, regularly moving starting points for journeys and missing the actual starting point. The system has been poorly maintained for years, a tram driver friend told me this years ago, hence the amount of tram breakdowns, sorry 'failures' The tram systems in Nottingham, West Midlands and Edinburgh are far superior in every way to our tired, noisy old rolling stock which needs replacing ASAP, which I'm sure must be a priority on the mayoral authority to do tram list. -
This is basically the plot of Alpha Papa the Alan Partridge movie where the corporate suits upstairs wanted to rebrand North Norfolk Digital to Shape FM..... Art imitating real life. "Shape. ..The way you want it to be...."

Man In 70s Stabbed To Death In Sheffield Park
sheffandy replied to The_DADDY's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Were the victim and the accused known to each other? Or was this a random act? -
I've no idea why this group want to save a smelly, dilapidated old cafe. The place used to be a mess every time you went in. Old carpet covered in food and sticky tables. It should be levelled and a multi purpose building put up with a new cafe, function rooms that could be used for wedding receptions and exhibitions etc and some maintained toilets included too. Rather than throw money at the current eyesore.

Maybe they can educate the local residents how to park as well where they're down there.

MacHete Incident At Sheffield School
sheffandy replied to salmonbones's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Can confirm this did happen Friday at Forge Valley. There are pictures of the arrested individual/s with a large knife on social media. Well done to all staff for following all procedures, and remaining calm throughout. My daughter was very shaken up as a new starter, but as a parent glad the police attended quickly. From what I've heard is 1 girl transferred to Forge from elsewhere had had some disagreement with some other girl and she's come looking for her...with a machete... -
Does anyone have an update on the lady who was knocked off her bicycle today on Morley Street in Lower Walkey? My Mrs arrived home just as this incident had occurred, and the emergency services were not even on scene yet. She spoke to a courier who witnessed the incident and said the lady concerned was not in great shape, and my wife is very concerned about her, any update on her condition would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bloody Cockerill - Banner Cross Area
sheffandy replied to richardwright's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
If the cockerel is on Council allotments, then this is against the allotment rules as stated in the Council Allotment handbook regulations. and the allotment officer should be notified. I had the same where I live a few years ago, 4am every summer morning. Went to find the allotment number and the owners removed it. -
Aw bless her. Forum legend back in the day. RIP Plain Talker x

Believe it or not, there is a large range on Amazon. Worth looking as you can see what they look like and also read product reviews.
