Some where nice to go with the kids..
Mummy2bubba replied to charlie9865's topic in Sheffield Parenting Group
My 8mth old loves graves park, he loves shouting at cows and squealing at chickens. We considered going to one o the farm parks matlock/white post farm etc but didn't see the point in paying to see the same things we can see for free at graves park, the play areas good too. Well worth a visit on a nice day. Any suggestions of free days out? We go out every week for the day and usually end up paying a fortune to get in somewhere and bubba is really too young to appreciate it. -

How much would you be looking at charging? -

Sounds like a good idea to me, parents o little ones could bring a couple of throws and a few toys for them, I have a battery powered bubble machine that could be fun. -

I think it's a great idea, I'd need a buggy friendly route too, my bubba is too heavy to be in his carrier for long. -
I go to soft play quite regularly with bubba, I prefer that he is within touching distance, not for any reasons ie pedophiles and kidnappers but he's 7 months old and can't even crawl yet. Tbh when he's a bit older I'd not be too worried, I'll be teaching him about appropriate and inappropriate interactions with other children and adults, we will have a "safe word" which will be a secret that only we know and if in an emergency I had to send someone else out to collect him (even family) I would tell them to say the safe word to him to reassure him that ive really sent them, not having personalised items of clothing on young children is just common sense as it is really easy for someone to read a name on say a hat and say to the child "hi tommy your mummy sent me to get you" I'm not overly paranoid and think it would be sad if bubba is so scared of strange gets he can't form friendships easily (as happened to me, I had stranger danger drilled into me so much I am now almost completely unable to form friendships and understand social interactions. No one would be able to leave with him as most places you can see the exit and have to be buzzed out, I think the play frames are a bit busy to easily hide peados and no one would be allowed in without a child anyway. I was an abused child, in my case it was a close family member, no amount of worrying about who could see me when we were out or weather I ha a chaperone when playing out could change the fact that my abuser lived in the same house and was often the one sent out to make sure I was safe when playing out. You can worry all you want about strangers but I agree with the previous poster who said that it's known people who the child trusts who are most likely to abuse.

Pound Bakery In Sheffield
Mummy2bubba replied to ClaireTrudy's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
But if I only want one then I'm paying twice as much to throw one away. Tbh I'm just in a pedantic mood and I refuse to pay to park in sheffield anyway, and I always get lost in the one way system and end up driving in tiny circles all day till I give up and go home. -

Most of the stuff I get from the bakery is less than a quid? Why is there a national obsession for paying £1 for everything? -

I know a woman with two kids, two years apart called viktor and viktoria, people comment behind her back about their names a lot. I wouldnt use names like that tbh -

How young do you have coming? My lo is 7 months old. -
I used to salt everything while cooking then add more on my plate, since bubba has started eating meals with us I obviously can't cook with salt anymore and tbh I don't even notice, I never put salt on my plate either as invariably there's something on there that bubba will want to try.

Asda at chapeltown has it.

Didnt they used to do clothes optional swim in the main pool sometimes? I'm not a naturist but I did consider going a few times as the idea fascinates me. I would have thought that them having done that in the past that they would be more open to it?

Has anyone been to hullaballoos?
Mummy2bubba replied to Mummy2bubba's topic in Sheffield Parenting Group
Don't worry about it peebee, I'd've probably gone anyway as its quite close to home, I'll just not bother going back, I'm thinking others would feel the same and they will either have to improve or they won't survive, if it had a really good clean, a few safety bumpers on table corners etc I'd more than likely go back but until then I'll go to one of the many other places that are clean, safe and free for babies.
