Mighty Sheffield Wednesday V Birmingham City 21/8/12. 1945 hours, Tuesday evening. The Mighty Wednesday start the Championi season at Hillsborough with an evening kick-off against Birmingham City. Both teams come off the back of draws, Brum drew 1-1 against Charlton and the Mighty Heroes of Hillsborough fought back in the second half to secure a well deserved 2-2 point at Derby. (Such a gallant & glorious fight back). So we now have the makings of a very interesting, very difficult, evenly matched, mid-table clash between Mighty Wednesday in 11th place and Brum in 12th. (Many Mighty Wednesday fans would be happy with their current league position come May 2013 - well away from any kind of relegation dogfight.) Birmingham City last visited Hillsborough in January 2009. It ended in a 1-1 draw after Brum equalised in the 90th minute. On previous visits, Brum won 3-0 in 2006 and 1-0 in 2001. No matches are easy when you are part of the Championi-ship. (The only Championi side in the whole of Sheffield) It will be a fantastic night if Mighty Wednesday can add 3 Mighty Points to their 50 Mighty Points Crusade. Sheffield Wednesday - A Mighty Team with Mighty Fans. . . .

I know what you mean Longy . . . . . .

I'm a big fan of the Wilson / McCabe dynamic duo. . . .

Condolences. You lucky person. . . .

The Mighty Wednesday should get out of all cup competitions as soon as possible and concentrate on the league. They've drawn Fulham dammit . . . The last time that The Mighty Wednesday played Fulham in the League Cup (or Milk Cup) was at Hillsborough in 1984. The Heroes of Hillsborough won 3-2. Damn . . .

I fully understand. On reflection, that's probably a wise Owl decision . . . . . . most former unitedites do find it difficult to handle such a large amount of excitement (rather than excrement) in one 90 minute session. . . .
-
I love it when closet Mighty Wednesdayites decide to come out . . . . . . See you both at Hillsborough next Tuesday night . . .
-
Don't tell anyone... but I was very concerned during the 1st half. I did want Mighty Wednesday to loose and concentrate on the league but I didn't want the humiliation that I enjoyed at Bramall Lane. So... You've heard about Alex the hairdryer - well at half time there was a dressing room performance by Dave Jones the erupting volcano. Dammit The Mighty won . . .

Ask your Doctor for Mighty Wednesday . . . . . . That's the best medicine for most fans. . . .

All dreams are possible - miracles at Bramall Lane just take longer. . . .

Think of me as an angel. When people are sick, I like to comfort them. They wanted me as Admin. "Geoff" I said, "You're offering me a quarter of what I get paid in America." . . .

You will always get friendly sniping in any football loving City. It should be welcomed with open arms - particularly whenever one side is playing with a lot of Mightyness and the other side is looking like a pub team in the Sunday League. . . .

You're Welcome. . . .

You could be correct - I hope so . . .

Sorry that I did not answer you... Yes - I was at Boundary Park. Yes - I was at Bramall Lane - as an Albion supporter. Yes - All Sheffielders should watch Mighty Wednesday because the football at Hillsborough is more exciting than Bramall Lane. . . .
