  1. We actually offered a lot more.... 25m2, heavily overgrown and 4 trees in there. We offered 1300 (plus all fees and some tree surgery to their garden) and just need some experts to say it's a good solid offer and we're not taking the p*** but getting anything official is proving very hard.
  2. Hi. Looking to purchase a small piece of garden land from my neighbour but i'm having real difficulty getting anybody to value it. Most estate agents will only value properties and the majority of land valuation services are commercial only. Anybody had any luck with this and if so, who did you use? We have a conveyancing solicitor but we're not at that stage just yet. Thanks!
  3. Hi. Having not actually been to the dentists for about 8 years, i think its kinda time for me to go. I know i've got more chance of flying to the moon than getting an NHS one, so i'm probably going to have to go private. Could anyone recommend a good one in Netheredge/Sharrow area (though I could travel a bit if necc) and what sort of prices for an initial checkup and clean and polish? Also - anyone had good experience going to the Sheffield University School of Dentistry? I heard its free if you let the students do their stuff (which i don't have a problem with).... Thanks for reading. :-)

  5. fuse in The Forum has thousands of nosestuds. open on Sunday too, i think...
  6. try Tom Barnes. young lad - been published loads and does a great job...very contemporary and modern. website is: http://www.soyo-weddings.com
  7. Hi - Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction - looking for somewhere to print short runs of colour posters - about 50 of each design, A3 or larger. Would love to have them screenprinted but alas, don't know ANYWHERE that does that - Digital print is fine as well. So - anyone help me? Would prefer to use a small local business rather than big chain so if theres anyone I should know about (and prices too!) that would be awesome. Please reply here or IM me. ace. thanks! bunny.
  8. Hi. I'm looking for something like this: Just wondered where I could find similar? thanks.
  9. http://www.flickr.com/images/spaceball.gif good pic of it. for anyone who's still a little confused, you can simply walk round the back and see a very big sign that says 'Sheffield Electricity Sub-Station'. pretty big clue right there. I love it - should be more interesting buildings like this in my opinion.
  10. well we only need the 'office' to store Cd's, T-shirts, records etc. We're in a band and sell quite a bit of merch on the road and from the website - thats the only reason we could use an extra room instead of storing it in our bedrooms or the living room etc. cheers for the heads up. i'll remember in the future to put a futon/not put a futon in the room just in case.
  11. Hi kinda desperately need secure storage space for band equipment. Ideally, could do with some amazing rehearsal space too so let me know if you've got anything. please PM me or reply here with details. i'll be checking regularly. cheers!
  12. bump. still could do with a massive house y'know.....:-)
  13. it's not urgent. but i wanted to know whether these things crop up much and what areas to look in/around. It'll be for 4 people but ideally have an extra 2-3 'bedrooms' for use as offices/studios. A couple of decent sized reception rooms as well as a massive kitchen. Oh, and ideally a big, secure double garage. I know this is probably a pipe-dream, but do these places come up at all? maybe I should just buy/rent a warehouse.... any help appreciated.
  14. (this is in the living in sheffo forum as well...sorry!) Hey. I know absolutely NOTHING about this, so please give me as much help as possible. i'm looking for something like this: close to city centre, large very secure room to be used for permanent band rehearsal (not 24 hours a day :-) ) and space to have a medium sized office with small storage for merch and stuff. so, maybe a floor of something...i really don't know if these kind of things are available and if so, what they're like and what we'd be paying in rent. thoughts are: the warehouse areas behind NCPM, round the back of Division Street and round Stokes Tiles (though these will probably end up being poncey flats before too long) and maybe down by Trippets Lane. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!
