hi thanks checked the air filter box and it looks pretty new had another diagnostic and now reading mass air flow too low! do you actually work on cars? i'm going to give up soon if i dont find someone who actually knows what there doing, im just finding that most places just use apprentices and a diagnostic unit i really need a proper mechanic lol

I am after a decent mechanic who is familiar with working with diesels ideally peugeot who doesnt want to rip me off n play guessing games of what maybe up? Bit of info on car - 307 202 2ltr 90bhp i have loss of power when disconnecting the maf the car will run fine, i have had the egr, solinoid and maf sensor replaced with genuine parts and still the car runs in what i would say is limp mode can only rev to 2000rpm. When changing the maf there was some oil in the air pipes? i have the diagnostic codes from planet peugeot diagnostic and the problem is mass air flow too high? I am loosing faith in my car fast and with mechanics in general so any help would really be appreciated

Hi i could really do with some help, my 2001 peugeot 307 is suffering from loss of power, it wont go above 2000 revs (when it gets to 2k revs its sounds like its misfiring) if i go up a hill its really struggling the car doesnt misfire on tickover or on low revs. I had the diagnostics done which were P1199 AND p0401 Induction flow higher than recommended we decided to do a full service and the egr valve replaced just picked it up and its still running the exact same? any ideas where to go from here? pllease try and explain as simple as possible as i only have basic knowledge on cars thanks for any help in advance x

Bit of advice with regards to a faulty product
becky518 replied to becky518's topic in General Discussions
i bought it a year ago it had a carrycot before so only used that and there no longer a registered user, i know its quite possible i will just have to stand to the loss a very expensive mistake -
hi all sorry its a bit of a long story! i was just after abit of advice, i got a pram from ebay which was near new only recently have i started using this and have found the seat unit unsafe as the harness has no shoulder holes and its not a floating harness so my daughter nearly fell out of it, took it in to shop over a month ago who said they would repair it free of charge, they haven't done anything with it as they said it is fine but the manager there said she isnt happy to let the pram go out of the shop as its simply not safe she has tested it and found that the actual harness was useless and i may as well not use it, they cant get a new seat unit as the pram is discontinued so were on about replacing it with a similar pram, now another manager has got involved and said because i didnt buy it new and dont have a receipt they cant help me, now i do understand that but also surely they are responsible as the pram really isnt safe does anyone know where i stand with this? any advice welcome as at the moment it looks like i will have to pick it up and take it to tip as i cant sell it or use it as it is. Thanks in advance

no i work 20 mins away from work she is on solid food too so it see's her get through the time without me there, i would have a problem if i had to work all day any other time, she refuses a bottle and i havent been able to leave her for more than a few hours rest for myself let alone work all day, to be honest all i wanted to know was if it was right or not which from what has been said seems like they can, even tho i have found out the reason im in all day is not to work but to have music n scalectic?? n lunch together and then for out of office staff to get awards. but thanks everyone for your advice it will be a case of just grin and bare it -

Can work change my hours to suit them?
becky518 replied to becky518's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
hi i use to work mon, tue, wed and friday 4 hours each shift, i was told on my return they were changing my hours as office cover was needed to be spread out by the 3 part time (including me) office staff and the lady who covered my hours previously couldnt be flexable and needed to work the hours i had worked previous, that is not a problem to me as i now get a long weekend and im still on the same money, i took smp for 39week which is now standard leave. I was only wondering about the xmas eve thing i just though it sounded unfair to make me work a full day when im not even ment to work a friday and yes as im breastfeeding i do have to fit my baby round my schedule but dont think they have to honour this as i just fit it round work normally so doesnt affect them, looks like i will have to work it from the info i have got i'm just disappointed as i thought id have xmas eve at home with my kids oh well will have to grin and bear it cheers 4 info everyone
