  1. Take a walk up wolsley rd and abbeydale road, thats what all sheffield will look like, a bit like bangladesh no doubt!
  2. My daughter lived in Dronfield for a few years and found it very snobbish and unfriendly! But everyone to their own, we all have differing opinions on places and thank god for that as it would not be good for us all to be the same!
  3. I agree with ging viking that 'Every area has it's good and bad places'. However, we moved from Gleadless to Killamarsh just over a year ago and love the place. There has been no trouble in that time and if you have kids its well placed for Rother Valley. The people are friendly and its pretty quite where we are.
  4. If you have a car there is a really good one in Nottingham, they also do online shopping. Sweet Success. Unit 7 Gauntley Court, Ward Street, Nottingham NG7 5HD http://www.sweetsuccess.uk.com/shop.asp
  5. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- As usual someone has to be rude about women asking for their rights!! If everyone was paid what they deserve in the first place then bonus payments would not be required!! Looking after children is not the piece of cake you think it is. just because you get your hands dirty does not mean you work harder!!!!!!!!!
  6. Thanks Allen. We used carashine. Did a fantastic job, caravan looks like new. Will be having them once a year from now on.
  7. Is there such a thing as a mobile caravan cleaner (for outside of van)?
  8. Thinking of moving to this area (round Westwell Place/Elmwood Drive/Ladybank Road) Can any one tell me what it is like?
  9. Goon - I was pointing out that in general support staff are forgotten. Most people just think of teachers when it states school staff they forget the hard workers behind the scenes. A bit like hospitals where normally people think of just doctors and nurses. Personally I don't think it is a good thing they stayed open as it puts undue pressure on staff to travel in difficult circumstances. Also parents drop the kids of not knowing if/how/when they will get back to pick them up, especially if both parents have set off for work. Putting even more pressure on staff who have to stay until they get there. I would much rather keep my kids and myself safe in a nice warm home.
  10. In the Star tonight is a story about 2 schools who remained open and the Head Teachers praised the teaching staff and kids for getting in. What about the poor support staff - caretaker who would be up at crack of dawn to clear paths and cleaning staff to make sure school is clean for kids. Teachers may be important in a school, but so to are the support staff, lets not forget that!!! On another note are those head teachers trying for medals in keeping schools open and making staff and kids risk injury in this weather?
  11. Thank you Cigy. I pass near this place on the way to work and did not realise it sold curtain tape.
  12. Hi everyone I want to have a go at making my own curtains, but need the popper toping for fixing them up in caravan. Does anyone know where I can get this from? Thank you:
  13. Thank you everyone for your advice. We may well try to do it ourselves.
  14. Just found this site. We bought our first caravan this year. Compass Omega 420/2. We love it. Trying Rivendale site this weekend. Will have to consider work on floor for next year as it has a bit of delamination. Can anyone recommend where to take it?
  15. Have a problem with delamination of caravan floor. Can anyone recommend a repairer please?
