Reminder: Register To Vote Before 16th April

Producing a form of ID is not a problem for me either, It's the Principe of having to prove who you are, that I'm against, besides, voting for someone implies that you have respect, and confidence in that person or party, I'm afraid I have very little respect for most of the politicians vying for election today. I have in the past always voted, subscribing to the view that it was our duty, it's only been since the introduction of this ID farce that I have stopped. -

If I need ID to vote, then I will not vote, simples. Voter ID was brought in to counteract a problem we didn't have, in order to increase control over the masses and to get us use to showing ID wherever we go? -
In fact, kick it out of your homes as well, Artificial Grass Athletes likely to have higher levels of PFAS after play on artificial turf. PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are a class of about 15,000 chemicals often used to make products resist water, stain and heat. The compounds are linked to cancer, liver problems, thyroid issues, birth defects, kidney disease, decreased immunity and other serious health problems. Artificial turf is made with several layers including plastic grass blades, plastic backing that holds the blades in place and infill that weighs down the turf to help the blades stand upright. Industry has said the grass blades and backing cannot be made without PFAS. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/mar/15/athletes-higher-pfas-levels-artificial-turf The Netherlands have removed all rubber backed Grass from the entire Country, due to increased number of Lymphoma cases, especially goalkeepers. https://www.facebook.com/reel/306645071775478

Warning to all EV owners. Apparently, scammers are now glueing their own QR codes over the legal ones, on lamp post chargers, so once scanned takes you to a fake pay site. Today these QR codes are Black and white while the real code is Green, but this could change, but you can tell if it's stuck on by feel.

I gave a donation online to "Guide dogs for the blind", some 18 months to two years ago, almost every week since then I get a letter from them, presumably asking for more, I no long bother to open them. (but it taught me a lesson, about giving my details to a charity) I tried to donate to the "RNLI" a couple of weeks ago, but the website wouldn't let me, unless I filled in their online form, name address, e/mail etc. I didn't donate. There are only three charities I will donate to now - Smile Train Bluebell wood Médecins Sans Frontières

In 2014, the USA and Britain financed a coup d'état in Ukraine, deposing the legit government with a puppet government led by Zelenskyy, despite being Russian speaking himself Zelenskyy hates the Russian-speaking people of the Donbas region and sent in his Azov battalions to commit genocide. It was because of this Putin got involved, in effect stopping Zelenskyy from murdering his own people,

I'd like to bet that 90% of the weapons in the East, right now, either originated in the USA or Britain.

I wonder, it seems a bit like "Stopping the boats" Rishi Sunak and his predecessors talk a good game but with no intentions of playing, I wonder if the forth coming elections has owt to do with his decision to build a Pier? Public opinion seems to think it's genocide so, to have even a chance of winning the election, he had to change his tune. (though, who will vote for someone suffering from Alzheimer's is beyond me)

Oldest trick in the book - Create a problem stealthily, Then find the cure for the problem you created, letting everyone know how philanthropic you are.

Martin Lewis: Financial Education A Bloody Farce.
aardvark6535 replied to aardvark6535's topic in General Discussions
alchresearch The point he was making in the video, was the lack of resources, despite being on the curriculum for some time there wasn't even a text book on the subject, that was excepted by the education authority, Hence Martin having to publish his own, he also gave a nod to the Teachers not really understanding the subject themselves. Interesting that some uni. Students thought the higher the APR the better the deal/loan was. -

That online course is a brill Idea. I'm surprised that Martin had to publish that book himself, and I'm surprised of the amount of charity work he does, financing that text book alone was £500K I believe, always liked the bloke, just never looked at the work he does off camera. -

Government support for financial education has been a bloody farce – teachers need more resources and ongoing training. An interesting video here of Martin Lewis, pushing for resources to educate our children, in Financial matters. What's your thoughts? https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2024/03/martin-lewis-financial-education-committee-evidence/
