Sheffield Bankers Fc play Saturday morning (mens 18+) football in the Sheffield & District Fair Play league. Last season we finished third in the league in a tight battle at the top of the table. We are looking for committed additions to the squad this season in all areas of the pitch to help bolster the team and improve the squad. We are currently training on Bolehill Rec for preseason 7pm on Tuesday evenings. During the season we train on Tuesdays at Goodwin Sports centre (4g pitches). We are a friendly but competitive side having just missed out on promotion for the last two seasons. Sheffield Bankers FC are a 100 year old amateur team that is looking for new additions to the team for the 16/17 season. The Bankers have 3 open age teams as well as an over 35s side and so are able to offer opportunities for anyone aged 16+ looking to play competitive Saturday football. With opportunities for progressions throughout the club for those looking to get back into the game. The Club has 2 sides in the County Senior Div, Wragg over 35s league. And with the 3rd team currently in the Sheffield & District Fairplay league. Offering kick off times from 10.30am through to 3pm depending on the team, and offering varying levels of competitiveness. The club is taking part in a number of midweek and weekend tournaments right throughout the summer and have pre-season friendlies starting from July. Hi, I am looking to join either an established band or start something new with aim of gigging as soon as possible. I am currently playing in a band which sadly after the summer will be splitting up due our bassist moving out of Sheffield. I am open to playing a range of different styles and will happily try new genres etc. Though i am particularly interested in joining a band that is experimenting with electronic sounds (kinda The Notwist style). My influences are pretty diverse but if you like bands like Modest mouse, Helvetia, Cable, Pixies, Sonic Youth, 13 & God, Elliott Smith, Sleater Kinny or Nada Surf then we will probably get on.
