  1. My biggest gripe (aside from being disabled and only being able to work part time, so it makes no sense to buy a mega rider as the times so can use my. Pass it's pointless) is the current stagecoach works. Usually I can catch the 10:50 (ish) tram from meadowhall (if I finish late) and my pass will be avid for that journey as it started before 11pm, but because of the tram replacement works that tram gets to castle square after 11 and I now have to pay for ten continuation of the journey. I accept having to pay before 9:30am, it's a pain on a part time wage (and I only get Lowe dla which these journeys take up the majority of) but having to pay extra because stagecoach decided to so these works doesn't seem as fair. I wouldn't object to paying a token amount but it irks me that children still get their 70p fare yet diasabled people who work are getting penalised
  2. the jolly fryer-hillsbrough friendly guys too
  3. I'm currently waiting to see if i have a problem with my thyroid, the last test i had indicated there might be a problem but i have to wait for another blood test and results before my psych will refer to me an endocrrinolgist(sp?), slightly scared of it all if i'm honest.
  4. I successfully claimed for depression (and bpd) first time round (and i know of 2 other people who get it for MH conditions), as someone else said its all based on care and mobility needs. I got help from CAB as i found i struggled to do the forms myself.
  5. Whatever is now on at the nelson won't compare to how good the rockaoke was, least it has a new venue where i'm sure the crowds will now go to
  6. It really does vary between drugs and people. I've so far been on 3 AD's. fluoxetine (Prozac) -on this for about 6 months -helped initially, lowered anxiety -increased insomnia -eventually sent me hypomanic so had to come off it Citalopram -on for about 4-5 months -didn't improve mood -sex drive went completely -mood swings got more extreme -still increased insomnia -increased self harm and suicidal indention-ended up with suicide attempt Trazodone -on for around 6 months -at forst made me drowsy and helped with sleep -sex drive came back -kept me stable for a while -had to keep have dosage upped, ended up on maximum -sent me hypomanic After that i got taken off Ad'sand put on Olanzapine(mood stabiliser), then was switched to another mood stabiliser: Quetiapine Now back on fluoxetine with Quetiapine I'll either be on meds for a few years or if i still relapse possibly life.
  7. I looked at the manifesto myself. As someone who's on ESA i have a right to be worried.
  8. My friend with bipolar was attending one of these support groups http://www.mdf.org.uk/ Another point of call would be asking psychiatrist/CPN/social worker for a referal as i think there are various support groups
  9. The tories want one benefit for all. one benefit which will be equal to JSA and likely to have requirements (like looking for work). This takes no account of the genuine sick and disabled. They will be the ones unable to fulfil the requirements for this new benefit. They will be the ones kicked off and let to stave (or kill themselves). And what do you know-but the tories have reduced the unemployment rates! Anyone with good health won't see a problem, but sickness/disability could strike any of you down. Under tory rules even if you were dying of cancer you'd be fit to work.
  10. 2 of us in my house (myself included) have had very dodgy stomachs after eating food from Chino's. Could be unrelated but the other person didn't listen to me, ate there and also went down with it. Though we do now joke whenever we see the delivery van that we should order and as they drive up play Poision by Alice Cooper.
  11. I'm pretty sure Cameron would have gotten on well with Hilter. they both seem to have the same idea about the sick and disabled
  12. After being harassed yet again by these vultures i have emailed Smiths with a complaint. I'm not going back in there till they've gone.
  13. Has anyone who has died, died from taking mephadrone alone? The ones i've read about so far all mixed it with something else.
  14. The main reason would be because they are banned from driving/would have their licence denied if they applied. Think about it, giving someone who is mentally unstable/possibly suicidal the use of a car? Not to mention my medication is one of the worst fro drowsiness. For those reasons i can't drive but still need to get around (i have appointments in hillsboro on a weekly basis) i also get the lower rate mobility part of DLA as i need supervision when out as i am liable to lose concentration/wander into traffic etc, so being on a bus is safer than me walking around on my own.
