  1. Took ours to a main dealer. Told I needed brakes and pads. Replaced them to the tune of 400 quid. Following year was told the same. Took them to an independent and only had to change them 3 years later. The main dealer told me they were 75% worn and the independent told me they had 75% left!!! I do 25000 per year too and they were genuine parts from the main dealer...... They must have been low on the figures when I took it in.
  2. D Garret at woodseats is excellent and very resonable if your that end of town
  3. if you get the 87 get off at the lookers stop and then its basically down the road at the end of sainsburys and a left. i know you have said they run close but if the 97 is a possibility it stops outside it if you are not sure where to go.
  4. Well from what I experienced today they were very good i would return there when I need my first service. Unfortunatly I wont be returning to the petrol station which had a pump that put plastic into the fuel tank causing me a few weeks of problems.
  5. I have got my car back! thanks to lookers, they were really good at sorting the problem today! They have restored by faith in my car. No thanks to the flamming petrol pump that deposited plastic into the fuel tank! I will be back for my first service in April!
  6. What about only allowing people to comment on positive solicitors rather than allowing negative opions. this will take away problems with deformation but still informing the public of solicitors that are worthwile using.
  7. I dont intend this to be a mud slinging thread but I just wanted some advice as I have had little experience dealing with car dealerships. Mr Thomas you will find I have replied to you request for comments to the given email.
  8. thanks for all the advice. to be honest I have tried most of it already but I will try again. if I get no joy I will phone ford direct but I have herd that they are rubbish at sorting things out. we were told that there was no courtsy car avaliable but like I said I think I will sit in the showroom on friday all day! thanks again
  9. Hi everyone, was hoping someone may be able to offer me some advice on how to deal with the above garage if anyone else has had any success with them? Our 7 month old focus went into the garage on the 19th Dec after a breakdown and after been spoken to rudely was told it couldn't be seen until after the christmas period. After a bit of complaining we managed to get them to look at it and was promised it would be done on christmas eve. surprise when it wasn't fixed as the part didnt come in. Told it would be done on Tues 30th Dec, again when I called up, they had ordered the wrong part. Spoke to them at least 4 times and was told it was to be done on 31st (today) and I called to check the part had come in at 10.30pm this morning and was told it was being worked on. They said they would call back later but there was every chance it would be done today. At 1pm there was no call, we called backto say could they call us on our mobile, at 3pm we called again and was told they hadn't looked at it and would struggle to get it done today and couldnt promise they could do it on friday either! Any ideas on how to deal with them? I am just going to resort to sitting in their showroom all day on friday if I dont get any joy then!
