Thanks Paul Blade,got rid of it

Hi everybody,about three weeks ago I attempted to download spybot and ended up with softonic which has pushed google aside.A friend who tried to remove it said that she was puzzled because when she tried to remove it,it transferred itself to Firefox.I am on bt internet and outlook express but cannot get rid of it and back to google chrome.Any advice would be much appreciated.Thanks.Silverpaw.

Hi.haven`t had to ask for help for a long time.Using mozilla,outlook and bt internet.Belong to an e pals site and now for some reason can`t download photos of other members,even my own pics on my profile don`t appear and that area is surrounded by a dotted rectangle that is new.Have tried allsorts to find out what`s wrong but no luck.Any ideas please?

As a music lover across the board,may I recommend spotify,a site that will lead you to almost any song or tune you want if you can track it down and surprise you on the journey.I hope you like it.

I used to enjoy songza,I am an old geezer(67)and love a variety of music but now it`s just 30 second samplers.Why has this happened and is there any way around this?You have always helped me before.I wish you well.Silverpaw.

I promised all who tried to help an answer when this problem was solved so here it is.After buying a new cable and being sent a new modem by Virgin,which didn`t solve the problem,tonight my Brother stumbled across the reset facility and reset things to a month ago and guess what?All is well!Thanks for all your replies we appreciate you.PS.He lives in Cheltenham me in Cornwall so it made this very difficult.Is it cos I is Cornish?

Sorry this is my third attempt to reply but keep getting told I am not logged in so here we go.Facts:Anlantic modem no router.He tried 150 and was passed to pc help(£1 a minute not£5)then told to contact someone locally in Cheltenham who knows about computers! While we were on the `phone a security scan started up complete with a tinkling bell symbol,when this ended I suggested he disconnect and start again,what do you think?Silverpaw,new Great Grandad!
