I've been looking for the same and have just resorted to checking the website every couple of days. -
I've found the cheapest and best (not to look at) charity shops in Sheffield are the St Luke's hospice ones, I only look for books in them and all the others don't have much of a selection or seem to be overpriced

I can see a little from my living room window but It looks a touch more serious towards the flats on the bottom away from the ambulance station. I haven't noticed anything near the pub.

It's doesn't run in the evenings or on sundays, that should cut it's frequency down a bit.

You could try 'catch me if you can' the autobiography by Frank W Abagnale. it's a fantastic true account of a con-artist and (thankfully!) nothing like the movie of the same name.
