thanks for the responses! i've checked out springs gym website and im gonna visit it pretty soon as it looks well equipped and its just down the road from me. ponds sounds good but its not as close to me. i expect virgin is good but i cant afford over £40 a month. thanks everybody x

thanks everyone, just emailed the puregym team to find out if they're gonna be doing aerobics classes and such. their prices are great! i've enquired about virgin active as its en route from my work so would be easy to go to, however there are no prices on their website which i find a tad suspicious! (usually means its expensive!) @ssazbabe - how much is your membership for virgin?

I'm on Eon's online extra saver and only pay £57 per month combined for my 3 bedroom semi. It used to be £79 but i watched what energy we used and cut back. Npower is extortionate and the most expensive supplier around britain, i used to be with them. be careful leaving them as they conned me out of £250 for gas when i switched and then had the cheek to send me letlers about baillifs coming round, etc. I spent about £30 on bloody phone calls. Hate npower with a passion.
