  1. I think there should be a good discussion on this as I don't know whether I agree or not. If it was my cat I would be so upset and angry but at the same time when my sister's cat was run over we were guttered but we can't ban cars or take them off the street's. It's a risk you take with a wandering animal. I have to think that what if this was a dog? The cat had gone into a garden and been ripped up by a dog? Would the dog be punished/thought badly of or would it be accidental and so disregarded? I son't think the issue is against the snake in particular it's whether or not a 13ft python should be allowed to roam a garden. (Can they escape etc ?!)
  2. lol! Or a lab that's one big pile of **** and if you have to go for a second scoop your buggered! *feels a dragon's den moment coming on for larger poo bags*
  3. Awww she sounds so bewildered bless! I''d do what the comment above says and get her checked out by a vet. I'd also give the rescue place a call see what her behaviour was like in kennels. She may well just be very stressed and finding it difficult to settle. If she found by the warden you don't know happened to her or what her life was like before, dogs are like people in that they adjust to new situations differently. Good luck!
  4. I also have a double hutch, its a few years old and was handmade at the time would need a new lock and a couple of other minor improvements but you can have it for free, I'm in the S20 area:)
  5. Has anybody seen this at the pics yet? My OH wants to see it as it's in 3D apparently but it looks like a kids film to me. Is it any good?
  6. Awww this is exactly why i need to pass my driving test Koda is great in the car and this would have been an amazing day to take her to! Wonder if I can convice a friend or two.....!
  7. God what's your job a postie????? LOL:hihi: As I have said before I have yet to meet a (small dog whose breed I'll not menion so the small dog brigade are not on my case-LOL) who has not bitten somebody in it's life- and I have also yet to hear of many that have been PTS. Yes they can't cause the damage a larger dog can cause and that's the problem.
  8. Don't feel giulty about the insurance, dental treatment is almost always excluded from a policy so you would have still had to pay!
  9. I wanted to watch this but unfortunatly missed it. I oppse this very much with the monkeys and "adoptive parents"- the only addoptive parents should be the ones in a rescue centre!!!! If anybody knows if/when it will be repeated please let me know!
  10. People just don't raslise or to take the time to research properly before they buy. It's like oh look a bird that can talk that's amzing-I want one. No thought for how much attention he/she needs or the specialized/varied diet or the longevity. I have wanted one for years but with a dog, 2 cats, a tree frog, 9 pond fish and a bearded dragon I'm pretty full up!....maybe in like 40 years when I retire! She's goreous though I bet she's had you i fits of giggles they are so inquisitive and entertaining!
  11. Of course not I have several friends with Staffy's or Staffy X's whose dogs are always under control. It's more about this growing trend of youths prowling the streets with out of control dogs (many of which are either rotties or staffy's). It's not even the dog I was annoyed with it's the owner-firstly for having apotentially aggressive dog offlead in the street and secondly for kicking the poor dog for not listening!! God If I kicked mine everytime she didn't listen I'd be locked up by now! Dog's get disctracted. I'm starting to question whether all dog's should be kept on a lead unless in a in enclosed area. This is not the fist time it's happened-we have been lucky (in the way she didn't get bitten) a couple of times with off lead aggressive dogs. I alpologise if it caused any offence to any Staffy owner's but the post was cleary not intended for you when you read it. I prehaps should have put more thought into the title....but it came out of sheer anger at the time!
  12. what about a new toy or raw hide bone for the journey-distraction techniques again.
  13. try Snakes N Adders at Manor top the guys are ace there and very knowledgeable, my uncle works there and has been breeding snakes for 20 years!
  14. My OH has just come in from walking Koda to tell me that he was walking her on a lead when this staffy appeared out of nowhere (off lead) with a bunch of tennagers. They asked if our dog was OK which she is just very hyper and thier dog came running over! Koda was very excited and started to play but the other dog attacked her-it went for her twice-luckily missed as she was jumping around, before this idiot shouted at it came over and kicked it in the head!!!!!!! The poor dog ran off, Koda was no worse for wear- but why, WHY is there a growing trend for staffies as status symbols when these people clearly have no idea how to control-or treat thier dogs! No wonder this wonderful breed is getting such a bad and undeserved reputation!
  15. What breeds are your dogs? Koda is a lab so is kind of water friendly anyway!
