  1. Can't decide between Yorkshire Party and English Democrats. Definitely not Labour though. Though a Labour win is probably inevitable
  2. Hi If anyone would like a free ticket download the Dice app and PM me your mobile number I'll send the ticket in the app.
  3. Saw one vandalised with both wheels bent next to Swann Morton on Penistone Rd. Reported it on their app, let's see how quick they come and get it.
  4. I regularly travel Sheffield - Workington and know what you mean. That last leg of the journey seems to take an age!
  5. There's one next to the old HSBC and Wetherspoons and I think another near News & Booze next to the tram stop on the other side
  6. To go off on a tirade like that is completely unacceptable. Emotions are running high at the moment with recent terror attacks and the problems with child grooming / rape gangs, the majority of which are Muslim. He is entitled to free speech but not to force opinions on others in such an intimidating way.
  7. I use this crossing a lot, living close to Hawskley avenue. As has been said, the crossing is useful to pedestrians on a busy road, as you can wait in the middle until it's safe to cross. I've also experienced drivers in the right hand lane stopping to let me across, and I would not be visible to the drivers in the left hand lane.
  8. It's on Nigel Farage's official Facebook page. But if you are not on Facebook you can probably still search for it on Google ---------- Post added 24-05-2016 at 22:59 ---------- The postcode is for Market Place. the same as the Wagon & Horses Wetherspoon
  9. Nigel Farage Facebook :Next stop on the Brexit Bus Tour will be Chapeltown, S35 2UU near Sheffield tomorrow at 11am. Do come along and together let's campaign to get our country back!
  10. I live in S6, Cannock Street and the postwoman is great, friendly and never had a problem with missing deliveries or items delivered damaged or open
  11. I got a letter about re-registering to vote, they already have the correct details, if I don't respond will I still get my postal vote as usual?
  12. I'd say it was right to sticky the thread in the first place. Yes, many crimes are posted on here and the threads are not made sticky. But in this instance it is a disgusting crime against an elderly lady. Also, the CCTV picture is excellent so it would be a good thing for as many people as possible to see it.
  13. No, but the 20 towards Hemsworth will take you to the Norton Lees entrance of Graves Park ---------- Post added 02-01-2015 at 18:03 ---------- And 25, 25A, 75, 43, 44, 53 will take you to the Meadowhead or Woodseats entrances from town ---------- Post added 02-01-2015 at 18:06 ---------- Depending on where you are in S5 the 20 is probably most convenient, timetable is here http://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=4855
  14. Thanks Carmen, that's good to know that I was somewhere on the right lines!! Been chatting to a friend about the steel history of Workington and it's links with Sheffield, apparently the first Bessemer converter from Workington is in the Kelham Island museum? Does anyone know if this is correct? The original Bessemer process required high-grade non-phospheric haematite, the kind available near Workington. In 1857, Bessemer's company, the Workington Haematite Iron Co built two blast furnaces to process the ore for his Sheffield works.
