I lost my purse on Saturday either on Crookes near Haybrooks estate agent or Hagg lane from the little car park up the lane. Nothing of value and all cards cancelled but i would just like it back ! could anyone in either of those areas shopping or walking please keep an eye out for me, thankyou..

oldiegirl....i was in the girls brigade at the baptist church from being an explorer right up to my teens, i too played a drum in fact i still have it !!!and my cap !! mr taylor (my adopted grandad) taught the drums..mrs glossop our leader and living in fear of mrs sylvester in town inspecting uniforms for the parades/march from the side of the city hall..i went on GB camp 3 times to heacham/hunstanton norfolk... also too loved the penny lollies from the corner of mulehouse,roots from the opposite shop who would also sell us 10 regal in our GB uniforms !!..does anyone else have fond memories of "lurch" at the chippy on lydgate lane opposite corner to the mad house? i also used to hang about with the scooter/mod crowd by wesley hall and forres road...heyho nights on lydgate lane park and frightening yourselves silly in the cemetry !!

spacebadger... did you find or go to a hypnotherapist eventually? if so how did you get on? i too am looking for one and sounds like for the same reasons! i need a major operation asap and cant do it...my gp is great but has told me there isnt any hypnotherapy on the NHS.??...i have tried cbt,councilling,psychotherapy none of which have even touched the sides so im pinning all my hopes on hypnotherapy.... please let me know

blimey you are angry..... i have to ask why such sweeping statements like ghettos and townies ? i seem to remember when i lived out there you werent local if you hadnt been a biker of some sort at some time ! and usually people from ghettos are poor arent they? i imagine these bikes are expensive..... i dont ride a bike, i ride a horse ! and have every sympathy with anyone who rides anything and wants to get off the roads, it seems to me in this country if your not on foot your not welcome...anyway thats a whole other thread!

well you have completely blinded me with techno stuff! but as a very simple person with simple tellys! i too am having loads of problems....i live just below the HUGE mask at the top of lydgate and in 40 yrs have never had the need for a "proper" ariel .. i just have those little ones that sit on or near the tv...in one room i have bt vision and that has been dreadfull as you say for 2 or 3 weeks, and in another room have a sky box but just get the free chanels and that too is playing up....i havent had any problems before ???

i live just under the mast at the top of lydgate and have all my life and we have never had a proper aerial back in the old days of only 3 chanels we could get 3 extra chanels!! and now we have 4 teles all have just the wire aerials attatched to the set or 1 has bt vision and as long as the £12.99 aerial from argos is poiinting in the direction of the mast we get all the chanels....having said all that if someone moves it or the cat knocks it , it all goes to pot!!!...but i think you should manage without,and yes we too were quoted £200 to have a "proper" one fitted...ouch

my friend has lost one of her kittens,i cant remember the name of her road but its off holme lane,a side street,i will find out more tomorrow...he snook out as she answrred her door,he is only 8 weeks old so will be very lost and frightened..black with a little white i think....please keep your eyes open if you live in this area...thankyou
