  1. Sheffdave200, I have a couple of pictures you may be interested in. One is outside the back door of the farm and is of Kitty (Catherine) and her brother with my Aunt between them and the other is also of Kitty with two other gents but this one is at the side of the farm by the side of the stable. I could try and get them copied for you.
  2. Ive seen lots of people who have lost a great deal of weight on the DUKAN diet, you can get the book on the Amazon website - apparently lots of women in France and Paris do that diet too. According to the book, the diet was devised by a doctor for his friend and the friend managed to lose all the weight he was trying to shed. Cant say Ive tried it myself though.
  3. Hi, just been reading your thread and wanted to tell you my mum's family were the last people to live at Rocher Head Farm. They were brother and sister and after they died the house was left for a few years before finally being demolished. I remember my mum taking us up there as children when she went to visit and we adored it. I live in Manchester now but still take days out occasionally to head over to Bradfield and walk down the lane and pass the remains of the farm. I can picture it how it used to be when I was little.
  4. I got one from a cheap bookshop called 'The Works' and it cost 99p - havent set it off yet though so cant tell you how good it was?:)
  5. Was in my garden last night, in Manchester, around 11.30ish and saw one massive bolt of lightening and then about eight seconds later there was the biggest rumble of thunder I have heard in ages. Then no more after that. I would say it was over the Cheshire/Derbyshire area so thats maybe what gave you all the power surge???
  6. :posted the vouchers this am so they should be with them in a couple of days. If I get any more, now I have the address I will send them on. And next year, now I have a goal I will be collecting them like mad - its good to get a little extra back from Tesco!!!!:hihi:
  7. Could you PM me the address of the school cos I have been collecting and Ive got £350 worth of vouchers for the school....cheers
  8. Nope, Its gone for me too - I used to like checking out your weather whilst I live over here in Manchester but all I get now is a blank screen!! come back soon please...
  9. My son bought one, although it was a few years ago and he got it from HMV music store. Its an adult one though. Not sure where you would buy one for a child.
  10. After seeing the Gadget show last night, they asked broadbanders to go to their website - The Gadget Show.com and take part in their survey by checking just what your download and upload speeds are on their webpage and then they are running a campaign to get a faster speed/cheaper cost for all!!! Checkit out
  11. Lovely pictures - wish I had seen it myself but there are too many rooftops in the way around my place.
  12. I said that you can keep chilli plants over winter and they will grow chillis again the next year but I dont know if I said that you would need to keep the plant indoors on windowsill /or in a greenhouse away from frost??? hope that makes it clearer??
  13. Ant powder from any hardware shop will usually kill the wasps. It should cost about £1.99 and once you manage to puff it around the entrance to the nest and on a few wasps going in it usually kills them all off as the ones entering take it into the nest. We have killed a couple of nests like this and they are usually all dead the next day. Good luck. We wore a crash helmet and gloves just in case when we were doing it.
  14. Just thought I would let you know (you probably do already) but my other half has been growing chillies for a couple of years and at the end of the growing season has been throwing them out. We were told to keep the woody stems and they would come back again year after year, and sure enough this year one of last years plants has come back to life and grown more chillies so keep them over winter and see if yours re-grow too.
