I could fully understand if that was the case but the buyer has not even had the valuation survey done on the house yet. They have an appointment on Wednesday to finalise the mortgage, so I assume the survey will take place soon after that. We had another buyer for the property which pulled out through no fault of our own, they lost the buyer for their property when we were days away from exchange. The previous buyer had a valution survey done and they said it was worth the amount that had been offered. I am now seriously wondering if the buyer is messing around and if we should just put the house on the market again. Both times the house has been on the market we accepted offers within a week, so we are not having trouble getting acceptable offers in.

I'm in the process of selling our house, it has been almost six weeks since we accepted an offer. Today I get a phone call from our solicitors with a query from the buyers solicitor. The buyers solicitor has asked why the price has increased. The price they are referring to is the price we paid for the house three and a half years ago. Our solicitor said it wasn't protocol for a solicitor to ask such a question. Our solicitor thought the price increase was in line with the market improvement but still wondered if there was anything I wanted to add. I told him of all the improvements we have done in the three and a half years we have lived here which are complete bathroom refurb, new central heating installation, en-suite and quality fitted wardrobes added to master bedroom, a larger garage and fully decorated throughout including new floor coverings in all rooms. We had five estate agents round when we put the house on the market and they all valued it around the same price £165000-175000 we have accepted an offer of £171000. According to zoopla the estimate they give for our house is £182000 and say our house has increased in price by £28000 in the last three years. I just dont understand why six weeks down the line a solicitor should ask this question about the price.

Speedy I dont see many owls fans (or anyone else) backing you up on this one so maybe just calm down and accept the fact that giving money to charity, no matter how big or small is a good thing.

Yep ebay will be cheapest, also the screw in the middle of the chuck should be left hand thread so remember that when trying to loosen it. -
It all depends on the seller and if they are desperate to move, if they have had any other offers. Remember the value an estate agent puts on the property isnt always its true value. Look how much other similar houses in the area have sold for recently, what problems/areas of improvement there are with the house. I Bought my house recently, it was on the market for 159,000. My initial offer was 140 (cheeky i know) finally got the house for 145 but the seller was desperate to move and had the house on the market for a while. When the bank came to value the house for the mortgage it was valued at 145,000. A friend of mine made an offer of 115000 on a house a couple of years ago and when the bank came to value it for the mortgage they said it was only worth 95000. After further negotiation the seller agreed to sell the house for the 95000 it was valued at.

It won't have a DPF on an 02 plate 307 HDI. Dont waste money on anything until you have had it on a proper Peugeot diagnostics. If you cannot find diagnostic local im in Rotherham and can do it. -

Petrol or Diesel? It could be a number of things. Try and find someone local with proper diagnostics for PSA Cars. Ideally Peugeot planet/ citroen lexia software (same as the dealers use) If you go on http://www.peugeotforums.com they have a map with everyone who has the diagnostics near you. -

Ahh I know which bridge you mean now. Down Brookhouse road isnt it. I was thinking the route through the field at the bottom of mansfield road. Last time I went to rother valley that way was about 20 years ago. -

Rother valley is in walking distance from Aston too. You can get in at the back end, there's a footpath at the roundabout where the new Elmwood Farm pub is (or at least there used to be) down the side of the railway lines. I grew up in Aston on the chase estate (Wimpey) its a nice place to live. -
