  1. A few fat ladies got together and formed a choir for that lot by the end of November 🤣
  2. Absolutely battered Stoke 1st half but just couldnt force the ball home, cleared off the line, superb saves and the bar all came to stokes recue as they threw bodies in the way and were forced to defend for their lives, when Smith did get the ball in the net it was rather harshly ruled out for a push and then Valentin was felled by an arm to throat inside the box but play continued. Stoke at least made a fist of it without really stretching the keeper but it wasnt untill 20 mins from time that Wednesdays efforts finally paid of with a fine half volley from Palmer, but we got caught upfield as stoke broke out 8 minutes later and their sub fired across beadle to equalise. Dissapointing result, but we had the chances to win handsomely.
  3. Khamikaze stuff from Wednesday 1st half, Norwich pressed high but we persisted playing out from the back which beggered belief. we got a warning when Beadle made a fine stop to deny them the opener, but we got caught twice in 5 minutes and but for the keeper we could have gone in 4 or 5 down by halftime. Rohld the dice with changes at the break and begun to force Norwich back and forced them to defend, but it wasnt until 12 minutes from time that we made it pay, ironically having not scored from corners all season we scored from 2 in the space of 7 minutes, but despite sustained pressure at the end couldnt find a winner. Weve got to be smarter at the back when sides come to our place and press high up.
  4. After 4 really abject performances on the bounce I didnt go to QPR with much hope, wed been static and lifeless, but from the start Wednesday looked like theyd had raw meat for lunch and fought for every ball, a huge improvement. Rangers had plenty of pots at goal but never really troubled Beadles goal and the Owls had the 2 best chances of the half, Windass seemingly cleared Povedas shot off the line? and Gassama was inches away beating the keeper but just the wrong side of his back stick. The improvement continued after the break as QPR continued to sit quite deep, it was Gassama that broke the deadlock with a tricky peice of skill inside their area and a large slice of look as the defenders clearance cannoned into the net off him, Rangers best effort came 5 minutes later, you could see their overload develop inside the box and a goal looked inevitable, but another slice of luck went Wednesdays way as the shot came back off the bar, The Owls sealed the points in stoppage time Gassama providing the ball thats was tucked away by sub Musaba. A deserved win for a vastly improved Wednesday who need to carry the performance and commitment into the next 5 games. On the stregth of yesterdays game weve booked tickets for the early kick off @ Blackburn in 2 weeks time.
  5. No worries mate shame the game was rubbish, Im watching the Ipswich game now, much better watch. Once you know how to navigate the ads its a doddle.
  6. Worst performance of the season? apart from the 1st 8 minutes Wednesday were never in the game and Boro won at a canter, far too easy, just passed the ball around the low block, opened us up at will, Wednesday looked lethargic, no option for the player on the ball and it just came straight back, 2nd goal was comical from our own corner staight upfield with Bannan playing CB and our CBs stuck in no mans land. Rubbish
  7. Ive watched it from the start no problem, empty your cache just click the ads off when they come up
  8. Stream available Middlesbrough vs Sheffield Wednesday (poscitesch.com)
  9. Then add on the 20,000 Wednesday fans that want a ticket for every big game 😁
  10. To attract any MAJOR investor with the cash to fund champions league level investment, you need a fanbase of at least 50K to guarentee income streams that will allow continued investment that stays inside the FFP rules. The downside to this happening in sheffield would be any merger would mean the new club would have to begin life in the ninth tier of the football pyramid.
  11. There was plenty on the Ipswich thread, far as Im aware its not unusual to share an opinion on a forum
  12. Wednesday sat way too deep in the 1st half and allowed the swans to just dominate the ball, neither side really threatened the two keepers until a late free kick found its way to Cadamateri at the back stick who stuck his chance away despite the keepers best efforts. Wednesday decided to join in for the 2nd period, but were guilty of spurning decent opportunities, the bar and keeper saving the day, although Beadle did make one flying tip over the bar, and Palmer blocked a goal bound shot inside the area, The Owls paid the price 12 minutes from time as sub Lowe swept home from a corner. All in all it was poor from Wednesday who looked hesitant and indecisive for long periods.
  13. If the season started for all clubs on the day Rohl took over wed be 12th now, it was 7th before the last two fixtures.
  14. Watched via an online stream, non of us could get due to working, think our next trip will be QPR which could be a pivotal game for both teams, not one of my favourite venues. Rohl had a few words to say comparing the set ups of both sides, a dig at the owner? Follows on from the remarks he made to the german press a while back. He says him and DC virtually run the club together.
  15. Honestly thought wed go for a solid 541 and try to pick up a point or nick 3 on the counter, but we were just wide open, Ipswich looked like theyd brought their own ball as Wednesday chased shadows, one quality moment in the 90 plus, Povada bringing out a save that was going in the corner, that apart weve been dire, couldnt even pick out our own players. Two years back Ipswich finished 15 points behind us and 7 places adrift, ffwd to today and it was like a league one side v Prem, Ipswich have put a solid structure in place behind the manager and invested 8M in those two years in quality footballers, we on the other havent done any of that. I know theres loads of Bannan fans on here but contrast his performance today against that of loanee Hutchinson. two goals and an assist and a MOM performance, aand its these small details applied to every part of the squad that has built the chasm we saw this afternoon.
