  2. We take our 4 year old to Yankees... They are very tolerant of kiddies.. Have booster cushions for the chairs and a kids menu... Their milkshakes are lush!
  3. Have you considered Reiki? I was persuaded to try it for some long running (8 year) joint issues. I've had Physio, X-rays, MRI, cortisone injections, been diagnosed with bursitis, bakers cysts, inflammatory disease that came with Norris yellow talents that I would have to take for life, but weren't guaranteed to make it better.... Basically, medics couldn't diagnose anything conclusively. I've just given up and turned to reiki instead.. If you can be open to it and find a qualified and recommended practitioner you might as well give it a go. I've had 2 sessions so far and it's done me more good than all the time spent in the doctors and hospitals in the last 8 years.
  4. I'm looking for a Disco / DJ hire for a 21st (Surprise) Birthday Party on a Saturday night in June. (Please PM me for date and venue details) I'm in the early stages of planning the party and would like to hear recommendations or quotes from DJs that fit these requirements... - Be open to playing the birthday girls favourite songs and not necessarily the "usual" type of party music. Not saying there won't be some cheese, but it would have to be "the cheese" that she likes. We'd give you the genre and a good selection of tunes to help with that. - Be more about managing our music and atmosphere for us.... lights, volume etc. We're not going to gag the DJ, but we would prefer not to have the typical Peter Kaye Wedding DJ experience. (although if you can do a one-off mickey taking impression of that, we'd be up for it!) - Be set up at 7, ready for the birthday girl to arrive at 7:30. Disco is allowed until midnight I think. Let me know if you can recommend anyone for this job,or if you fit the bill and can send me a quote. Thanks!!
  5. Thanks for all the advice here... Especially to be cautious about some twaddle out there that you have to pay for. I'm going to give the You Tube link a try later. Thanks for helping.
  6. There seems to be a religious element to it if you need there to be... You call on some powerful being and I think you can choose that to be god or angels or the universe or whatever you believe in. That is what I'm trying to find more about.... I wouldn't want Scientology but maybe they use the theta techniques if they meditate. I've found some useful videos and talks on You Tube.... Still looking for somebody local who I could talk to learn more.
  7. Oh my goodness.. I hope not!! I'm open to the healing concepts, and have researched theta on the surface... but will always avoid extremist claims like that. I'm looking for a non religious, comforting 'something' to believe in when I really need to de stress, deflect negative people and learn how to keep calm and rational when I actually want (and need) to blow my fuse.
  8. Hi, are there any Theta practicioners in Sheffield? A friend of mine highly recommends it for Stress Relief, Motivation and Positive Thinking and I'm very keen to learn more.
  9. Hi, I need some Comic Relief Deeley-Boppers ... Where can I get them from? On my hunt for them tonight I only found Sainsburys stocking Red Nose goods but it was just mugs and noses. Has anybody seen the Red Nose Deeley-Boppers for sale in Sheffield? Thanks!!
  10. I'm laughing! Agree.. this place ticks all the boxes... freshly cooked , amazing value for as much food as you need, great friendly service.. suitable for small or large parties/couples etc. Great for Veggies too as they don't leave them out during what are normally meat only courses..like duck pancakes / soup etc.
  11. Raven Hall allows dogs and the food is amazing.
  12. I've chosen the few verse and chorus of Storybook Love out the film "The Princess Bride"
  13. I have a number of Floor Puzzles and similar for age 1 to 3 that I would like to donate to a playgroup or group that would make good use of them. Some of the boxes may be a bit dog-eared but the contents are all in good nick and complete. Any ideas of places that need this type of thing?
  14. I used Bio-oil and it was fab! Got loads of horrid stretchmarks when I had my first child and was sure I'd get them again. SOmebody recommended Bio-oil to me and I didn't get even one stretchmark with my second child.
  15. After reading this, I bought some online for my daughter. She is 17 and very fed up of her acne, that she has suffered from since 9 years old. She has been on anti-biotics, the pill, zinc cream... you name it for about 6 years! Nothing worked....Until now!! This oil has cleared her skin up completely (apart from an odd hormonal spot!) In just a few days we noticed a huge improvement. I'm sharing the bottle as it just feels really lush on your skin. Can't recommend this oil enough!!
