Hi, I am looking at a few properties in the Deepcar area (looking to buy) and was wondering if there are anyone on the forum from that area who may be able to answer a question or two. According to the OS map, and google, there is a sewage works on Manchester Road, and I was wondering if it has a stink throughout the year, and anything else really?? I've seen a few other posts on the area, but not really been touched on, which I am hoping is a good thing! Houses will be on the estate near the golf club possibly, if that helps. Thanks.

So I used to play squash (badly) as the Uni courts on a weekly basis, and once I was football fit again I buggered off and played football. However I am now fancying the idea of a squash game or two a week, so wondered if anyone is up for a game before/after work? I am a 35 y/o male, know the rules, and run around but I am far from a player of squash! Would welcome similar standard or above to push me into improving. Have a bat and balls. Drop me a message, can make Concorde or S10 Courts easiest.

Just wondered if any teams play there or group of lads. I'm looking for another game/training session on the pitches at goodwin. If anyone does and could possibly do with another decent player drop me a message on here. Cheers. Ideally looking to play 6pm/7pm start

Page for five-a-side players/teams to link up

Hi, I am looking for a Thursday game on goodwin, decent standard. Would be happy to train with a team as i'm looking for a regular game at around 6pm or 7pm. Thanks. Drop me an email if you have a game I could get involved with. -
Hi, not 100% sure i'm on the right group but here goes. I bought a painting when I was in Ecuador recently, at the moment it's rolled inside a tube. It's painted on canvas. When I purchased it, it was stretched over a timber frame, and now it isn't. I want to get this done again so that I can hang it, but I am not 100% sure where to go or if anyone here can do it? I'm in no rush, and it's not an amazing piece, but I would like to hang it. It's about 24-30" longest side by about 18-24" tall. Any ideas? PM me or post up. Happy to deliver by hand and collect when done if a person is happy to do over a shop, plus a rough idea on what I should expect to pay?

As the title suggests, I am thinking of trying to take up a new persuit, but i'm struggling to find any Judo clubs in Sheffield, where are they? I assume that not being a student I can't go to the Uni ones, so what others are about that people can recommend to an adult beginner? Thanks

Anyone here used/curently using a personal trainer? How often do you use them? Good for beginners? Also, anyone any recommendations for them in the Sheffield area? I would like to get my strength improved, I think that I would rather use a PT to get the basics right for the specific techniques. I assume they can be expensive though which is why I'm asking how often they are needed and do you still tend to work out without one? Ta

Neej If you fancy a game PM me and we can sort something out. I am happy to play a goodwin and I think I am in the same category as you (Hit and move, no expert though). Ta

Accident/Injury on Great Yorkshire Run 2010
paul28uk replied to Squiggs's topic in Sheffield Sport & Activities
I was doing some photgraphy at the run today and a woman in pink fell with less than 200m to the finish! I don't think she got to finish which is a shame considering all the effort but she did seem ok. Hope all is well. -
Thanks for the replies. I managed to source an alternative. Blacks had it, costing around £7 for 500ml. I went to Broadfield Mowers on Broadfield Road and got some Aspen 4t. It's the same, if not cleaner to use then Coleman fuel and it cost £16 for 5 Litres. Which worked out around £1.60 for 500ml!

Do I have a right to see a dermatologist?
paul28uk replied to jenand8285's topic in General Discussions
I have been referred by my GP to a Dermatologist, with the hope of getting prescribed Roaccutane, tbh I've tried so many other gels and pills and i'm 31 now, having had it since about 14. I don't know what i'll do if I don't get the chance to see if it will work. Probably cry! -
Did you get any climbing partners Sarah?
-
I wouldn't worry about it mate tbh. If you are on an organised trek they will already have planned the acclimitisation into to trip. The basics are to climb higher in the day then you sleep at night. For example climb to 5600m, sleep at 5300m. It shocks your system into producing more red blood cells which help carry the oxygen around to your muscles etc. Want any more info, just PM me. You should be fine.

Silicone on Baking Sheets? Anyone do this?
paul28uk replied to paul28uk's topic in Sheffield Foodies
Yeah Sil-pat baking sheets are a brand of them I think. I have one but it's quite big and it feels totally different to the cheaper ones I purchased. Haven't used it yet as I don't want to cut it and they are expensive.
