Restoring, Double Glazing & Replacing Sash Windows
  1. If you're looking for wooden windows as a posed to upvc, i.e. sash window double glazing. Not sure about upvc double glazing, there are plenty of companies around. Just make sure you get plenty of quotes is about the best my advice extends to.
  2. How annoying is that... I'm renting and had the same problem although taking the window out wasn't an option without upsetting the landlord lol
  3. With the price of weddings these days, somebody is likely to want to take a chance on him. Besides, he wouldn't be entirely "free", they'd still have to pay for equipment hire so it would be cheaper than going to somebody who is established. I'm sure there are many people up and down the country DJing at weddings and birthdays for friends and family for free so they've hardly resulted in a decline for the mobile DJ to be able to get work...
  4. There is some information I found on this website - Advice for Landlords about Evicting Tenants. Hope that helps
  5. Joineryworkshop.com who are based in Manchester and Leeds (but cover Sheffield and the rest of the UK), can help you with your requirements. You can read more about what they do on their Sash Windows page. You can contact them using the contact form on the website or call them on 0161 428 5525.
  6. I'd rather quit than pass over my passwords to email Facebook or whatever... I understand making it so people cannot use Facebook at work, but expecting them to pass over their passwords so their employer can see what they have been saying? What a load of crap!!
  7. Why not try recording a set and putting it on websites like soundcloud or similar and then emailing out links to your sets? Knock together a website and then start emailing your website around to the smaller bars and clubs so they have a point of reference and you'll maybe stand a better chance of having your details passed around and be easier to contact. You could also try advertising yourself as a free DJ for weddings and birthday parties if you're doing all the older stuff and charts and what not.
  8. I rent myself so when I have moved home, I just usually use the big websites like findaproperty to find somewhere. At least then the landlord has taken the time (and expense) to go through a letting agent so you're less likely to end up with a dodgy landlord (although that's no guarantee of course).
  9. Something else you could try is google the actual address, as in door number and street. If it's a rented property, it might come up in a search and show you who rented out the property initially. It could work as long as they used a website like rightmove/findaproperty or even if it was put on the letting agents own website.
