  3. Thanks so far for the replys. I am really looking for a 7 week old kitten, and pref female. Wibbs, if you want to PM me with details i will contact you friend.
  4. Hi there, I know its a long shot, ('cos kittens are soooo popular) but, i have had my own cats from when i was 5 years old, and my last cat (Lucy) died at the grand old age of almost 16 (she was my 14th birthday present), she was hit by a car in 1999, a very tragic way to go for a beautiful and faithful girl at her age. Now, after the years have gone by, my own two children have their own cats and i really miss the closeness and friendship i had with my own cat. Sorry to go on, but i love cats and i am very passionate about their welfare. Does anyone know of anywhere/one that may have new kittens that are available, now or soon? I would prefer a female cat, thankyou. Female preferably btw. Thanks Regards Claire
  5. When we get "Jove's" at the door, my husband sees them off with either : .... "Cor ... Jove strippa-grams" OR "Sorry no time to chat i'm just off to give blood". If we wanted to be preached to, we will go to church, well actually we do ...now and again
  6. We have a problem in our area with several dogs fouling the footpath. The problem is that they come out with the dogs after the wardens have finished working. "BorderReiver" Calling cats "vermin" is just being small minded, as usual someone mentions an issue regarding dogs and this old chestnut comes up. The law states that if an "Animal" Fouls on the footpath and you dont take action to clear it up you may be fined. If a Dog fouls in someone elses garden there is nothing the Law can do about it, you must secure your own property to prevent this from happening. The same goes for cats. The worst thing about the law regarding Dogs and cats is that if i hit a dog with my car i "MUST" report it to the police, shame it isnt the same for cats.
  7. There isnt a shortage of fivers, but i am reliably informed by my husband, that due to most people at his place of work, paying for an item costing less than a couple of pounds with a twenty, the fivers do run out very quickly...
  8. You can bet yer bottom dollar with insurance companies unfortunately
  9. Because you posted last time that it would serve 'em right if their kids, or "rug-rats" in your speak, got run over, and words to that effect. Not a pleasant wish.
  10. Just gonna nip in here i lived in the Middle east for a number of years (not by choice) and although the "christmas" type items were available in some areas (plastic trees, lights etc..) as expats you know to keep it "low-key", cards are "happy holidays" not "happy christmas", it was still a working day (unless on a friday) Strange thing though, we knew of many local Muslim kids and families who exchanged gifts on that day too.......
  11. Just to change subject very briefly (maybe for the better) but hey Madowl i love your signature and clear support for our great team  p.s where's all the England car flags and hype we get with footie??? Radio Hallam hasn't been the same since Daryl Denham left, Big John is a bit too self righteous for my liking. BTW Henri......I frequented The Roxy in my 20's, not something i'm proud of but i usually ended up in Rebels at the end of the night. I listen to Radio 2 and Classic F.M and occasionally Hallam ...........analysis please?
  12. Its really so helpful when the police say stuff like "don't park on the road" isn't it? This happened to my beloved car in February, during the night and in the driveway, down both sides and all over the bonnet I was devistated, the culprit/s (according to the police) had done around 100 cars in this area over 2 weeks. Why did they do it? (apart from them being mindless cretins) search me, although the police did apparently catch them, and how?....and this is the astounding bit......they keyed their own date of birth in one of the cars I was just told by the police "its the way it is these days, you can't own anything nice because of jealous idiots" I didn't sleep for nights on end, waiting near the door with a baseball bat just imagining what i would do to them £200 excess down the drain, full respray, i couldn't afford to have that happen again (financially or emotionally) so i had to sell it at a loss because of the respray. There is one thing i have promised myself......i WILL find out who they are................
  13. We've used Enterprise on Queens road a few times now and we would highly recommend them, Steve Perry Branch manager has previously gone out of his way to help us and is a star.
  14. Hi, We used to live at Gleadless and to be honest we quite miss our fave take-aways from "TOPPOLIS" at Manor top (0114 2530233) they are usually quick and tasty. We now live at woodseats near to London road and have tried a few on there.....no match for Toppolis i'm afraid. Got the munchies now........
  15. Something similar happened to us about 18months ago. We had a few things on auction and during the middle of the night someone from America had got into our account and had advertised thousands of dollars worth of electronic items via our account, automatically we got the ebay listing bill on our account to the tune of around £60!!! We had to go through a full appeal and investigation process with ebay and thankfully it was resolved, we had to change the whole name and password access. It happened because during our own auction of items we mistakingly answered a message from someone abroad who asked the question "can we post to America and for how much?" we have very quickly learnt NOT to answer these type of questions, plus we sometimes get asked questions about fake/imaginary items when we have nothing for sale, these get sent through our emails also........Never Answer those!!!. Its a flaming minefield on ebay sometimes.....trust no one!
