Al Murray's Pub Landlord act was funny a good few years ago. The I.T. Crowd was funny because of the writing by Graham Linehan so both Richard and Romesh get a 'no' vote from me.

Have lived in the area near Royston Grove for last 15 years. It's very quiet and a good distance from Edenthorpe estate. The tram is handy and there is a nice walk through Owlthorpe Woods just a few minutes away. I'm sure you would enjoy living there.

The chippy on the left hand side going up was Furniss's . Greens chippy was actually on the bend on Stanhope Road. I think it was the only one in the area that opened on a Saturday night. I think there was a sweet shop / grocers on right hand side going up at corner of Stanhope Road. No idea what it was called.

In case you weren't aware a new season of Ghosts starts tonight on BBC1. Good fun. For me the best show at the moment is Gone Fishing with Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer. Don't let the title put you off, the fishing is incidental (half the time they don't catch anything) , but the banter between two very good pals is a joy to watch. Funny and moving in equal parts. Highly recommended.

Parasite - borrowed the Blu-ray last week. Very good Korean film with a good plot. Won the Oscar for best film earlier this year. Worth a look.

All soaps. Any reality shows, especially if Simon Cowell involved. Anything with Ant & Dec in (I know some find them popular but I cant see why) Any Slimming programmes or Eat Well for Less type ones Masterchef Oh, and Mrs Browns Boys

There was a stall in Crystal Peaks Market (dunno if still there as not been in since the lockdown ended), guy there fitted batteries for £3.50. Usually last a few years.

For a bit of light relief I have been working my way through The IT Crowd on All 4. Not seen them for years, very funny.

Yeah, I thought it was very good. All three episodes are available on iPlayer if you want to binge the whole lot. I watched first two last night and will view the third tonight.

I have taken old bedding to Thornberry Animal Sanctuary before now. I;m sure they would be happy to receive duvets.

I think the one at Pond Street was called The Friary. One of the best chippys was Buxtons on Alnwick Road at Intake. One of the cheapest as well.
