  1. I went in to work despite my sons school being closed, he just came to work with me, and he was as good as gold all day.
  2. My son had his eye test at school last year and we were referred to the hospital (chesterfield) due to "reduced level of vision in the left eye". we had never noticed anything so I thought it was probably just that he was messing around during the test as they took them in for the test in pairs. We waited about 4 months for our appointment but like I said we were at chesterfield hospital. On the day of the appointment my son had a quick check with the orthoptist and then given some drops to dilate his pupils and we had to wait half an hour for them to work, we then saw the ophthalmologist who tested his sight and got his prescription. My little one now has to wear glasses so we were given a voucher to take along to any optician. My son loved all the attention he was receiving although I will warn you the drops do sting a bit so we had a bit of moaning then. Prepare yourself for being at the hospital a couple of hours but be warned they struggle to focus on games/books once the drops are applied. HTH.

It is with great sadness that I am having to rehome this wonderful little man. He is such a loving boy but unfortunately he can be know to lash out and attack people. I have 2 young children and he unfortunately attacked one of them, unprovoked, the other day. He does not give warning when he does this and can be quite ferrocious. I adopted him from a lady on sheffield forum and have had him chipped, castrated and vaccinated. I have also had him tested for FIV/FeLV which was negative. He has recently been wormed with Milbemax and flea treated with Frontline Combo. He is such a loving young man and the attacking is few and far between but he definately needs to be rehomed with an experienced cat owner who does not have young children. I will be very sad to see him go. If you want any further info PM me and i will give you my number.
  10. It depends on your own vets and their brand of vaccines that they use, some it is 8 weeks, some 10 weeks, some even as early as 6 weeks. The second vaccination also depends on the manufacturer but is usually between 2-4 weeks later.
  11. My baby is 6 months old now but after the birth I weighed myself and had lost just over 3 stone (mainly down to morning sickness all through the pregnancy), although I did change my eating habits when i found out i was pregnant to a much healthier diet so that must have helped. Since the birth I have lost another 2 stone and hope to keep losing as I have now just joined a gym. I have also breastfed exclusively for the last 6 months and that helps you to lose weight post labour (so if you can and want to this is a great aid to losing baby weight).
  12. yer, i was wondering the same. they seemed to be flying pretty close together!
  13. I have bought a compact pushchair from someone in Leighton Buzzard and she has agreed to let me arrange a courier to pick the item up. Only problem is that she does not have a box big enough for it to fit in and all couriers I have looked at will only accept boxed items. Does anyone know of any resonably priced couriers that either pack the item or just provide a box for it to fit in? She is quite happy to wrap it in some plastic wrapping but no-one seems willing to accept this. Thanks in advance.
  14. No baby for me either, although had a lot of contractions all day but nothing regular. I had a bath in it last night (was tempted to put the whole bottle in lol) will try the leg massage tonight and have also been advised to drop some onto a wet flannel and lay that over bump?!?!?
  15. Ive been and bought some from Boots today, heard some good reports about it, will let you know the outcome!
